This scares me because klaus didn't compell Stefan to become a ripper. He only compelled him to be the ripper he always was and always will be inside. Damon, on the other hand, is violent and emotionally damaged, yet he is good inside and not a ripper. I would feel much more safe with Damon in a room if I were Elena than with Stefan. I think Stefan would crack first and drink from her. I know it seems unbelievable but if u really see inside Stefan and not the nice and caring guy, he is a monst

man i gotta say this, i love damon's character and all but regardless of who character people prefer the most, and which one u think is hotter.. the truth is that PAUL WESLEY is the best actor of tvd, i havent seen yet any other actor from the crew to be as versatile with his character as he has been! they are all excellent actors and actresses though, thats what makes this show amazing! but wow im amazed this guy was not famous before tvd

This reminds me of like a verbally abusive relationship. Stefan is the douche bag that keeps hurting her, Elena is the victim. He is saying all the things she wants to hear like "I love you, I'm sorry, I'll change." All the stuff guys usually say after they hurt their girlfriends. Elena in this episode kind of checks Stefan into Rehab, and tells him if he doesnt change she will leave, and he'll loose her. Very relatable I love their scenes.

@jessie3treats Well, it's kind of the same with Damon and Elena except that it was a physical relationship. Stefan is strung out here so of course he'd call her a bunch of names. But he never laid a hand on her. Damon threatened to kill Elena several times, killed her brother, grabbed her and bruised her up, bit her, the whole nine yards. I love Damon and I love Stefan but I don't like either of them with Elena.
