It isn't that the Subaru's pistons are like chocolate, it's that the ECU programming of turbocharged models run those engines extremely lean during high rpm moments sooner than most would think & this causes the engine to get hot; cylinder temperatures rise & literally melt or blow a hole in the piston or cylinder wall. If it weren't for the ECU, those pistons would actually last a long while. It doesn't help that people beat on them either.

The EVO and Impreza are both very good drivers cars, the only thing I would say is the GC8 had a weak gearbox.
I've driven both and own a GC8 Type Ra, once i've got another year of NCB i'll buy a black Evo 6 RS and sell the type ra. Not because it's a better car, just for a change.

Your right about the WRX PPP it is 4.8, and that from a 260 bhp car, the STI PPP is 4.6 But your are wrong on the rest. The WR1 is 4.2 the FQ 320 is 4.5 the FQ 300 4.7 the FQ 340 matches the WR1 at 4.2 The P1 I forgot to mention is faster and will match the EVO 6 for cornering speed. And buy the way, you fogot the EVO 260 at 6.1 and the standard EVO MR 276 bhp not sure on that 0-60

And you want to talk about rally success, I think we know the impreza wins on that one too. And why would you have to spend loads to keep with EVO's, some imprezas are faster out the box, STI PPP, WR1, 22b, RB 320. This evo won the race, fair play its faster, but you chat shit about imprezas

As can be seen, the basic FQ300 shits all over most of the supposed 'faster imprezas'.

Your right about the WRX PPP it is 4.8, and that from a 260 bhp car, the STI PPP is 4.6 But your are wrong on the rest. The WR1 is 4.2 the FQ 320 is 4.5 the FQ 300 4.7 the FQ 340 matches the WR1 at 4.2 The P1 I forgot to mention is faster and will match the EVO 6 for cornering speed. And buy the way, you fogot the EVO 260 at 6.1 and the standard EVO MR 276 bhp not sure on that 0-60

I could have had an EVO, easy, but prefered the impreza, EVO's just don't do it for me as much. Of coarse something that has less numbers is gonna hold its value better, but I go for what I like, not whats rarer
