  • i choose to do dat! why?cuz thats just wat niggas do! (moral of the story...)

  • MESSAGE!

  • How could u dislike this?

  • This is the only good song Busta Ryhmes put on 'Back On My BS' the rest is awful. Thank god for Nas.

  • i thought this video was too good to be true when i saw it in the sidebar :P

I mean seriously the first thing i thought of was anas eating fried chicken while sitting on the couch next to busta rhymes

  • I like fried chicken :( im white ... or in this case " I bee Whyte yooo"

  • Comment removed

  • This song symbolizes about how the south is killing hip hop. If you didn't know NAS wanted to call this album "nigger" but it was considered to controversial and was made an untitled album. After all black people were called niggers more often in the south than in the north. Nas is a genius.

  • Im so hunghry great song tho

  • MAD metaphors!

  • @roryskates if you cant do it then dont criticize, uk and ik that nas is one of the GOAT

  • I have a feeling that this song's got absolutely everything to do with fried chiken...

  • it doesnt. people responding on this video are clearly dense-headed

  • @DJUncleSkeeter You've gone through alot to disprove other interpretations in your almighty wisdom. This song is reflective of negroes, irrespective of which part of the world they are; they are disadvantaged, indulge in curious undertakings that do nothing to elevate them and most pathetically, REVEL IN IT...enjoy it...seemingly. Nas is synonymous with social commentary and this just typical of him. Different comprehensions serve as testament to his brilliance. I stand by my earlier position.

  • 3 people dont like fried chicken

  • 3 people get fucked by chickens everyday,

  • The ones arguing that they're rapping about women obviously don't realize how deep Nas and Busta Rhymes are in the 5% Nation. What they're both essentially saying is "Soul Food" like Fried Chicken and all kinds of nasty pig parts are really bad for you and only serve to make Black people unhealthy (obesity, hypertension, diabetes etc.) and lazy (the itis you get afterwards). It's about knowledge of self people, get a clue.

  • @DiamondWEAPON thank you! busta's not tlkn abt white women

  • this isnt about fried chicken or drugs. its about women. its called an extended metaphor. its pretty easy to catch.

  • @ramafia09 wrong. this song is about food and the negative affect food has on your health.

  • @dgk3188 you jokester.

  • @ramafia09 no joke. its true. you must not be listening to the song. or perhaps you're retarded. this song is definitely not about women but they use women to personify the food. idiot

  • @dgk3188 *facepalm*

im worried about the direction we're headed in as a society. this is rap. do you really think he is rapping about food and NOT women? come on. listen to busta's part and tell me its actually about food.

  • @ramafia09 have you listened to the album? you know it speaks on social issues within the black community right? one thing that plagues the black community is the consumption of unhealthy foods. Fried chicken and pork being some of them. how do you explain Busta talking at the end about eating food until it kills him? he talks about laying the ham in a pan...butter. trichina worms. he even talks about being a chef and specializing in cooking swine. you dumb son.

  • @dgk3188 i'm starting to think that you're a troll doing this for shits and giggles. any intelligent person can see that these dudes are clearly talking about food. Nas talks about gold medal flour..."created by southern black women, to serve massa's guest, you gon' be a nigga death". "like greeks with their falafel, italians with their tomato pasta, what rotti is to a rasta" cmon dude. all this evidence. what you got to prove that they talking only about women?

  • @dgk3188 that exact line. created could mean giving birth too. he could be saying that he needs women like greeks need falafel, etc.

we can agree to disagree, but im going to stick to him talking about woman. i think it makes the song a lot better anyways.

  • @ramafia09

nas is talking about fried chicken and busta is talking swine, comparing them to women.

  • its talking about the black race in america's mindstate. we are still enslaved. knowing shit is bad for us, yet we still eat it anyway. nobody is supposed to eat pig, and the scraps(scrapple anyone?) and leftover bad parts were given to slaves to eat. we adapted and ate it anyway but somewhere along the line when shit got better and our choices broadened we still chose to eat and live like slaves. fried chicken and pig will kill you. the shit ain't natural.

  • @5100area good description on that man, I'd clocked that but not to that degree. I love how this song works on more than three levels. Illness.

  • @gingerninja92woop no problem man.

  • he talikng bout cocain and hard

  • @TheBigga229 wrong

  • They're Talking About Fried Chicken... PERIOD #DontOverThinkIt

  • @RENEGADEseven

Exactly. The album is called Nigger and fried chicken is a large part of the niggerty diet.

  • Comment removed

  • Ms. Peachez does a better version

  • Look at you dumb bitches arguing basically to sum it up in one muthaphukin word "Fried Chicken" is a metaphor for women.

  • ong

  • All art is subject to intepretation, icluding music. My take on this song was that it's a commentary on self destructive behaviour...

  • Please don't make it deeper then it is. They're simply talking about black people's love for chicken, pork and soul food there is no deep hidden mystery in the song. Sometimes niggas make Nas appear more deeper then he is, just enjoy. "Ain't that some shit, I'm a eat some shit until what I'm eating kills me. And I choose to do that, why? 'Cause that's just what niggas do"

  • sheer ignorance. what the fuck are you even talking about? yet another dense-headed fool listening to the wrong music. pop in your weezy tape and stop trying to preach

  • @DJUncleSkeeter You could of at least looked at my play list instead of just assuming i listen to "weezy" but since I'm clearly the ignorant one why don't you please enlighten me on what this songs true meaning is. No dancing around just break down the metaphoric meaning of the song.

  • i did, about 3 days ago to some other fool whose got no idea what this song is about, or the whole album for that matter.

  • all im gonna say is, if you think thats the message theyre trying to get across, 'just some niggas rappin about their love for fried chicken and soul food", then you shouldnt have even commented on this. along with the other 500 people that are saying the exact same thing as you.

  • @DJUncleSkeeter So according to you this song is about women being "heart breakers", taking into consideration he was with Kelis at that time and been with her for a few years at that point. On top of that hes using fried chicken as a symbolism for black women(wow), well OK, if that's what the songs about then i guess it is.

  • Comment removed

  • lol thanks for your input kid but u still dont know what ur talkin about. 1st no white people live in queensbridge, now this song has no symbolism for fried chicken to women & Kelis is the only bitch thats even been in Nas' life. yo unplug your headphones and throw your whole hip hop collection of music out the window, do a chakacha dance and next time u wanna try and say a Nas song has no meaning behind it, i suggest you keep it to yourself cuz chances are ur too dense-headed to understand it.

  • @DJUncleSkeeter Why so emotional? to sum this back and forth up, you're right I'm wrong. On that note, imma get me some fried chicken and do chakacha dance and of course throw my hip hop collection out the window. its been real.

  • you're absolutely right. this song is pointless and has absolutely no meaning. you win i lose. lemme guess, in your opinion, the Nigger album was also just a collection of a pack of niggas preaching about their love for soul food, right? youre right on point homie, praise Allah this mothafucka is a prophit! u should write a book my man

  • @DjUncleSkeeter

Pretty sure we all get the analogy of KFC -> sex. It's not exactly subtle.

A black guy rapping about how much he loves fried chicken is far funnier though.

  • there's no analogy that has anything to do with KFC. you're a fool, technically the song almost has nothing to do with fried chicken.

  • @DJUncleSkeeter

your are a re-tard. when he goes "drivin in your buckets seats all the way from Kentucky to fuck with me"

bucket seats ===> chicken comes in buckets

    From Kentucky ===> KFC

    you ===> Dumbass

    step yo knowledge up

  • @rs0n1st step up yo knowledge fool thats called a metaphore. the whole song is wrapped around metaphores and symbolism of friend chicken to women. thats my whole arguement clown

  • @DJUncleSkeeter I gotta say, you're right. The chicken is a reference to being women. "Don't know which part I love best. Your legs or your breasts." Come on, that shit is obvious.

  • @KMZToolBawks finally someone else that understands this shit.

  • this shit aint about health problems either!!

  • you guys are some ignorant dudes. all you're talking about is friend chicken and KFC? no ones givin big ups for the symbolism and metephores these two emcees are throwin at you? retarded motherfuckers. this whole album was incredible, nas is a genius.

  • @DJUncleSkeeter

He is referring to how this poor food is contributing to the demise of African-Americans health...MESSAGE!

  • @teelock28 hes referring to how women are heartbreakers and fried chicken is also bad for your heart, fried chicken and black women are one in the same. the over-all message is 'can't live with 'em, cant live without 'em". get it?this has nothing to do with the health of any kind of americans. LISTEN TO THE DAMN WORDS

  • @DJUncleSkeeter Album is great.. NaS isn't a genius though...

  • yeah straight genius.

  • @DJUncleSkeeter well stated - this track is too clever for some dudes!

  • Listen to my new track Splay - Unseen on my page, its on a nas beat

  • Popeye's not popey's fuck is popey's? And KFC sucks.

  • I want popey's!

  • dats racist yo

  • ;.... kfc should have this 4 their fken them...!@! !!!! wowowowow made me want 2 get chicken..

  • this is fken awesome!... im getitng me some chicken...

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The symbolism in this song is fucking mindblowing, I don't even.. I can't even.. omg.

  • Symbolism that hits you like a brick

  • Comment removed

  • @everyonewantsmedead thats cuz its a metaphor. hes comparin fried chicken to girls

  • @everyonewantsmedead

    ahhh ahhhh

  • @everyonewantsmedead do you have ears?

  • @kstarek1 rofl

  • i thought busta ryhmes was a muslim?? but he talkin bout eatin pork

  • @DIN0o90 he aint, he has a video "Arab money" laughing at arabs and muslim culture

  • @Oljas2207 that song i guess could be insulting..... i just vid he said the most high is allah... so im guessing hes muslim..

  • @DIN0o90 He isn't, he is god body

Also the meaning of the song flew over your head

  • instrumental?

  • BUsta Rhymes line at the End is funny as hell lmao

  • FUCK KFC

POPEYES IS FROM THE SOUTH .

  • hardest out!

  • i listen to this everrrrytime' i nomnom on chicken[:

  • what about watermelon?

  • Cuz thats just what niggas do

  • "drivin in your bucket seats all the way from kentucky to fuck with me" lol what an original idea for a song. damn nas.

  • the is about "nigger" the word they place on us and "shit" they have attach to it in essence we are much better than that

  • look at my vids at my page.. they say i got that nas style

  • To clear this up the song has a double meaning. Delicious fried chicken or a delicious oiled up vixen. You choose haha!

  • 1 fag don't like fried chicken..

  • Only Nas can rap about Fried Chicken and make it sound beast

  • That's why this is ART in every sense of the word b/c no 1 person sees it the same way

  • who can make a rap song about fried chicken? only Nas

  • hope ukno dis is about black women...nas is a genius 'fried chicken, fly vixen' !!

  • nah, i thnk the song is actually about chicken, lol. i mean, at times he personifies it as woman but still..."thats just what niggas do."

  • Comment removed

  • @famaz86 I'm still surprised some people still think it's about a woman. Is a woman "dripping with high [cholesterol]"? Or created by southern black women to serve master's guest? LOL Nas makes it very clear its about fried chicken throughout his whole verse.

Plus you got Busta rapping about the ills of eating pork.

  • @MrBoJangles

its a double entendre, they personified the chicken and pork and talked about it like its a woman, but yeah they gave many hints that the key subject is the health effects of the foods we eat, i mean its in the title...idk why people are stupid and think the whole song is about a woman lol

  • @MrBoJangles its more of a metaphor and people can make it relate to it describinb a woman

  • @Kobe24foo

actually.. taken within the context of the album; there's no metaphor. the album is about the word "nigger" and black american culture. this song is about soul food.

  • @Kobe24foo LOL you could but it doesn't make sense. He is playing with it as a woman, but it is about fried chicken and Busta's verse is about pork.

The song is about the poor diet black Americans have.

  • @MrBoJangles thnk u finally somebody get the message of the song

  • any idiot who thinks this songs about chicken should never listen to music again cuz he/she is clearly too stupid to comprehend art. go play with lego and listen to treehouse theme songs u shits..nas is above yo headds..peace

  • @skakembo

you need to go back to school, the song is about the health problems associated with fried chicken, pork, soul food....he just uses a literary device called the "extended metaphor" to create a "double entendre" to showcase lyrical complexity and skill, it also makes the song more interesting...what woman do you know gets placed on a "paper towel"...he gave plenty of hints, "gives heart disease", "after you shower, you and your gold medal flour"..

  • 1 vegatarian

  • @TheSuirad at least know how to spell vegetarian

  • @handcartcripple im human.

  • Wheres The Kool-Aid ?

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!

  • the fried chicken is a metaphor for woman. real shit. poetry.....

  • @BuckleUpforSafety Actually its not. Its about the health problems blacks face due to "soul food"

  • im addicted

  • i listen to this at work and it maked my mouth watery........ lol for real

  • @1983amed made* -.-

  • its all about popeyes

ok, it's good, but be careful.

  • @splaymusic Its all about that Popeyes!! Popeyes > KFC all day

  • simply amazing

    Free P

  • Jay couldnt do that!

  • And the stereotypical song of the year goes to....

  • @RollTheBackwood420 how is it stereotypical? how many songs do you know about fried chicken?

  • @jlogan203

    .....

  • @RollTheBackwood420 yo this song is a lyrical orgasm

  • awesome lyrics

  • i love hot wings from KFC

  • classic shit!!

  • Fuck money, bitches, cars, Fried Chicken for sure!

  • lyrical genius.

  • lol nas is a beast even when rapping about chicken

  • sometimes i wonder if people have half a brain nowadays.

its like you cats are missing out on the genius of the track by simplifying it because you fucks are too bland and stupid to overstand something thats so obvious. read between the lines.

yes the fucking song is about unhealthy food but the way nas and busta go about painting the picture is a little more complex than you dumbasses seem to understand.

  • @AJB679 so true

  • your names lil8ball and im the douche. im not the type to talk shit online but i GARUNTEE you wouldnt say shit to me in person. ill just leave it at that.

oh and like i said its just my opinion. you can perceive shit how you want. i didnt say you got to agree with me or that im right..and i never said the songs about women or relationships. no shit the songs about food but it has subtle lines that creatively describe food in a feminine aspect.

  • if you take everything as face value or literally then you would all the same wonder how can fried chicken be friends with maccaroni ? also he says ''then i flop to the bed then plop when we done i need rest///dont know what part of you i love best your legs or your breast"

the song is an artistic expression of how the things we lust for end up looking appetizing or pleasing on the outside and can end up killing us. just my opinion.

  • i think the song is using personification of women with food and vice versa

if it wasnt why does nas say ''you and your friend mac n cheese"

  • @AJB679 what a douche.. nas and busta talk about greasy food that are bad for the health, but that's what black people love more.. friends mac and cheese, DUHH it's one of the most popular side dish for blacks and candy yams. nas says, drivin in ya bucket seat, after you shower than in ya gold medal flour, rub you in hot oil for about half an hour.. HOW CLEAR SHOULD HE BE? and NO, it's NOT A METHAPHORE for anything..

  • 2 breast from the carribean b4 ... gud shiznit

  • sometimes i relate this to a woman... when he says " got wings but you cant fly away from me", i think it has something to do with women's beauty... anyways Nas is the shit!!!!!!!

  • This song's strength is the way Busta's voice sounds like something frying, like crispy skin crunching between one's teeth.

  • heard eminem made a song called mayo for white people

  • this song is a metaphor about women and fried chicken. It's called personification given non-human objects such as Chicken human characteristics. Also about the lust for women and bad foods. Nas is the king of personification "I gave you power" "Last words" And stfu to the people saying not to think. Nas encourages thinking and discussion which is why he makes the music he does

  • @automaticlyill I thought it was a metaphor about the type of greasy food black people enjoy eating, but don't realize it will lead to their death.

  • @automaticlyill add in "Money Is My Bitch" and "Project Roach"

  • Lol

  • whats the point of this?fried chicken this is funny but stupid a Waste of time

  • @YoungStephen98 you fail....smh

  • @wizziproductions shut up dawg you sound real stupid it aint fuckin bout women fool dont talk no more

@cibida1 yeah man but some kids don't understand

  • Nas is one of the most, if not the most ORIGINAL & CREATIVE MCs of all-time. Plus, he IS the GREATEST lyricist in Hip Hop history. The proof is in the music, & I own EVERY album so trust me, it's the TRUTH. Nas is Hip Hop in it's TRUEST & REALEST form.

  • Lol... Im reading these comments and you dudes read too much into it. Its as simple as it sounds, take it for what it is. nothing more.

  • @rodneyj14 it might be to much lupe but i stand by what I said

  • @1phreshprince1 Well its up to the listener to get what they get from the song. Im just saying, sometimes people look too much into things when everything is right there simple, and in their face.

  • mayne he spitting fareal!!!

  • Greeks don't eat falafel.

  • @Aviatsionne Yea they do, i know a greek family and they like falafel

  • Great song, Nas goes down as one of the greatest. Great concept. Busta funny as shit...."ain't that some shit...i'ma eat some shit til what i'm eating kills me, why cuz thats just what niggas do lol" black people we need to change our diet period.

  • i think it funny this song is actually about chicken...at least im pretty sure it is

  • CAN LIL WAYNE MAKE REAL SHIT LIKE DIS?,,,,,,,,,NOPE!
