i'm not saying they're horrible, way way way better than say schecter lol, but I just hate the tone, too thin, no meat. I mainly hate them because I hate EMGs, in guitars at least, different for bass. I know Traynor likes esps and probably influenced him a lot as well but Esps are just too generic sounding for me. Especially when people play them through a Mesa, not that I hate Mesa, they're built like tanks lol. I'm more of a LP/PRS/Orange/Soldano guy (my future rigs...)

@elecguitar oh yeah, I LOVE american teles! I have a MIM one but it plays pretty well and I think i'm gonna upgrade the electronics and pickups soon...but my main guitar is an 88 les paul with some random ass pickup in the bridge. It's actually hotter (technically) than a burstbucker lol

usually i put my prs se custom w/trem with my line 6 floor pod plus into either my raven rg100, marshall jcm800, or a bogner. gives me a nice sound. ironically, the makers of crate jumped onto the Raven brand--not a big surprise if you noticed how crate amps are going extinct.

I have an 88 LP Studio with a random ass bridge pickup and play it through a Soldano 212 combo...best sound i've ever heard...

Do you run other pedals or do you just do the Line 6?

@RonnieAGonzalez lol, i loved crate for a while then moved on, i agree they are extinct. i love my line 6 spider 2 its a 2x12 and i run it through my mesa boogie cab and i think it sounds way better than using my mesa head

Yeah..........you seem to know your carry on....are you a guitar tech?? The thing I like about Nigel Pulsford is he hates all the modern stuff.......he uses lots of old useless peedles that make horrible noises...........I hope him and Gavin make another record together.....even if it just him and them.

I think that he started using them after working with Page Hamilton, a noted endorser of ESP. And having a former member of Helmet in the band, Chris Traynor, didn't hurt ESP's cause. BTW, you don't like the tone? I thnk that ESP makes great guitars.

Great either way...miss Bush but I'll take Mr Rossdale as I can get him. Wasn't this used in American Werewolf in Paris or was that a similiar sounding tune. Must find out. It's bugging me.

He didnt break them up for this...Niles had kids and they all wanted to spend time with their families... I liked BUSH but this evolution is good..Its a shame INSTITUTE broke up.. They have a better following now I think then when they were active.
