She was so kind about Scott, as he wasto her in his memoirs... They just couldn't make it... Both awesome people with problems of our generation. Addiction, mental health, and family issues that all lead to disfunction. Listen, no one is perfect, and they are rising everyday! You go WEILANDS! Very inspirational! :-)

I just noticed that this book is written by a ghost writer so mary forsberg didn't actually write a fucking thing. She basically gave an interview to a guy who writes books for people. If you have read enough books like I have you will learn books like these are riddled with inaccurate information. That being said, if I do happen apon this book I'll read it. Scott is cool!

This book is terrific. If you haven't got it, get a copy. I'm from the UK, and it didn't get exposure over here, but I hunted it down. Very pleased that I did, and have recommended it to all my friends.

i'm a huge stp and scott weiland fan and i really enjoyed the book. i actually read it twice. it's pretty much just an autobiography of herself. yes, she mentions scott and his drug problem here and there, but it was stuff that i had already heard about from the media. i don't believe she ever bashed him in the book.

@Xtnerz I'm also a huge STP and Weiland fan, since I was 14 and Core first came out! I'm looking formward to reading this book.

I think Scott has always been very open about his problems and experiences in the past (especially when hes a bit fucked and just goes off telling long stories in interviews these days!), so I don't think it would be a problem for Mary to write about this stuff.

Hope Scott can stay clean of dope and stop popping so many pills. I live in fear of losing him..

I am proud of Mary's recap of their life, her book was amazing, she did not tear Scott down, or blame him for anything, I am also proud that Mary is now in school to be an addiction counselor. Having a psych degree and doing my thesis on addiction and creative personalities.... I'm proud of her. :)

Weiland is far more talented than Eddie, dude can sing anything and do it better than almost anyone. Eddie's name is Vedder, btw, not Vender. Weiland amazes me with every live or recorded performance.

Vender sucks today, in 1995, yes Vender is good. But today he sucks (my opinion). I haven't heard of weiland's voice since velvot revolver which i thought was oK, but Way better than Venders. in 90s, Vender was better, in 2000s, weiland is maybe better (only their new album will tell).

MIRA: that's only true of STP's first album. They developed their own styie after that, and, truth be told, they were no more or less derivative than Danzig was solo from 'Purple' onwards.

Danzig is king though and his influence on modern music is far greater than STP, and in a way that could never be reflected in market terms.
