I would cancel the ADT monitoring and take the sign down when they uninstall it and then put the sign back up. Heck I am going to have a sign maker make me some ADT signs to post up without having a system to scare off robbers. Price=a couple of dollars and I am safe.
There are plenty of cellular primary communicators out there that do not require a landline ( Alarm.com) and if the tech who installed the system actually put a timer test in the panel the customer would have been called by the central station to say there is a communication problem,,, the main problem is paying $ 50.00 a month for a DSC security system that is the cheapest system out there
I understand the concern of adt customers. I am an adt employee, and work in the tech support department. This cell system was not designed to be a primary source of communication for the alarm system, just a backup in case a land line was cut. Now, the department that works on the cell system has more than likely fixed this issue. Unfortunately these things do happen, and they are handled as quickly as possible.
