Oh the energy I had to have to keep up with my little ones...Now I have to lift weights just to keep up with my grands....give her a hug from Mamamia...maybe she will like the butterfly song....come visit..
This is so sweet. I love the music, too. I'm glad to know there are other moms out there who are more fascinated with their children's everyday real-life discoveries than the usual "behave, don't talk, and don't do anything messy" rituals that still prevail in the modern institutionalized (read: school) society. Olive is a delight!
Thank you acfg59 for the nice comments. I really enjoy watching Olive do her thing and I try to just observe. She is pretty much allowed to interact with her art supplies however she wants provided it doesn't permanently alter the house or cause our poor beleaguered house keeper (me) to have a conniption.
noki water?!? the shaman goes out into the forest to collect herbs, which he combines in secret combination and crushes, mixes it with water from a sacred spring. Then he (or she) drinks the noki water...
ejp3art - it's the funniest thing, she made up this recipe for Noki water which must have dissolved bits of napkin and preferably a little cheese to get that wheat paste consistency. She also has something called "chek" which involves rice and water and whatever else is handy. It's messy but it amuses me.
Jack is mesmerized by Olive in this video. Or else it's that he was mesmerized by the water and paint. Ahh anything for a good video. I have let Jack ruin food for movies, draw on walls, and destroy many houselhold items.
"I look fabulous." That was the best line! Thanks for posting.
Elphy - when she said "I look fabulous" I nearly died from delight, both as a mother and a filmmaker. These little people are so human already. It's amazing.
This was great! Love, "I won't put any paint on it." and then, "You're putting paint on it." Ha! Love it! She has GROWN soooo much sice the last vid! Wow! Thanks for posting.
I know DG! I was like, I have to stop her but it's just too good footage wise. What can a mother/video maker do? I love that she is having fun exploring and making stuff. I hope that passion lasts. :}
Videos of Olive are so infrequent, like an unexpected gift. She is, as all our children are, so unique. My girls love to watch her too. I recently converted videos of my girls from the time they were born until now (now 9 and 11) to DVD. It's so easy to forget what life was like as they discovered the world. A real treasure. Keep um cummin!
Thank you Omia1234. Eventhough parenting only gets richer and I shouldn't worry about the future, I can't believe little Olive will someday be 9 or 11! I bet it will be tons o fun.
WOW! how sweet was this?! super-sweet! and you know what's funny? i didn't need any of the subtitles. i guess i know baby-speak now. LOL (plus, she is speaking so well) what a great surprise to get an Olive vid today. i guess it is my burfday present. ;)
Happy birthday Dale. In my neck of the woods, we celebrate all week. Can't cram that much happiness in one day. I miss you, any chance of a tiny Dale or Copper or Kinsley Michelle vid in the near future? :}
Dylanfan18 - it's really her mom's fault for being more interested having a good movie than protecting the kitchen. I did tell her she couldn't put the paint in her hair, but I edited that bit out. Thanks for your comment! :}
omg! is she going to become an artist too? she's all experimental, so sweet! the ending is pretty funny hahaha

that was totally inspirational, dude :D we could all afford to take more joy in things like that, rather than viewing them as 'mess'

She will be as passionate a person as the two wonderful people that raised her! So...no worries there! =D
