@DCProductions77 I'm not bad-mouthing them. I just think making a movie about yourself is a bit narcissistic even for our era. I'm just weary of the chest-thumping look-at-me culture that dominates sports today. Give me a Barry Sanders or Magic Johnson, guys who knew they were good and let their playing speak for them. Point being, do you ever see Barry Sanders producing a video about his "fabulousness"?

The greats don't make movies about themselves - others do it for them. The fact that Jalen Rose is producing this just points to what was wrong with this team - lots of boasting and chest-thumping, nothing ultimately accomplished. They were all wonderful players, but the truly great accomplish great things (i.e. win titles) and let their actions speak for themselves.

@dougrek Why on earth are you bad mouthing the fab five? Did you watch the documentary. One of the greatest I've seen on this show and I'm not saying that cause I'm a michigan fan. I'm saying it cause they uncovered a lot of questions that people wanted to know. Championships is not that all end be end to everything. I follow sports a lot and I know a lot of winners. Most people can't remember 40 percent of the winners or match them up who won what year. Especially in NCAA basketball.

@dougrek Is there a documentary on the NorthCarolina team? Hell I even forgot they had eric montross until they showed that show. I enjoyed that show. I remember watching it thinking "wow, the jamal mashburns, the jimmie jacksons, christian laetners, grant hills, chris webers, jalen roses, nikki van exels and so on. Watching college basketball was exciting as hell. So who ever produced it did a wonderful job. The man came all the way from detriot and made a career or himself doing what he loves

And another thing. Spare me the greatest team never to win garbage. The Phi Slamma Jamma Houston Cougar team Had two top 50 NBA players of all time on their roster Olajuwon and Drexler. Nobody on this Michigan team is half the players those guys where. They would have crushed this Michigan team.

This team was all style over substance. Completely overrated. It doesn't surprise me some of the comments about how they changed the game and they were a cultural phenomenon. Complete bull shit. But then what do you expect from a film that Jalen Rose produced. Like he would say anything different. This time got crushed by Duke and is remembered by most people for that phantom time-out call by Webber. Who interestingly didn't even have the balls to take part in this.

I always thought the Fab 5 were overrated.

The Fab 5 never won a Big 10 Title, and their defining moment was one of the great late game brain locks in NCAA tournament history.

If the Fab 5 were listening to a new CD, everyone else started listening to a new CD, they were getting media attention unlike any other division 1 college program ever got, etc. It was the little things like that. Yeah, they may have been overrated, but they were more then just a basketball team.
