The SG's perfect for this song... either that or an old tele which might have abit too much bite.. you need a body that really sustains but not as much as a les paul... The tone sounds awesome and in this case i'm glad he's chosen it over his usual strats because he's got a better sustaining sound out of it than he could have from a strat

Keep rocking on! :) And to the comment about him walking off stage early, I think it's in the sense, for example, how like even ellen degeneres will go into her audience. He just wants to seem more personable and down to earth. Continuum=showed john as pure musician; battle studies=shows john's heart and is more 'intimate'....i just think it fits in with the whole theme ;)
