Thank you for the info - I didn't know until I saw all the postings that the music I had heard through the years was in fact him. I'm glad his taste in music was so eclectic after all variety is the spice of life and he's given us a veritable feast.
His range of music is phenomenal - he keeps you wondering what's next - r&b soul, blues, classical, old standards, island/calypso - you name it and Robert Palmer has put his signature on it - yea for us.
@mzmreyes44 He worked with a lot of talented musicians too across all sorts of genres. Some of his 80s stuff before Power Station contained such a wide range of dynamics it is hard to think it was 1 guy at the core
Palmer does The Fabulous Thunderbirds! Fantastic...adds a bit of his Meters/New Orleans/Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley vibe and it sounds great!

@Bluesgerd47 he appeared on quite a few TV shows in the late 70s and early 80s - I wish there was more of that posted on here

Little shaky on the lyrics it seems. The guys singing the chorus with him seem to be trying to follow him on the fly.
Palmer was a seriously great soul singer. Just loved him.
Somewhere on youtube is a video of him with James Brown that is off the hook crazy good.
