This guy is a meteorologist. His job is to figure out what the weather is going to be like tomorrow. Climate change is an entirely different field. Asking a meteorologist about climate change is like asking a climatologist about Fermat's Last Theorem. On a recent Alaskan cruise we visited a glacier and there was a scientist on board speaking about how they have been able to document the recession of glaciers over the last 400 years. The temperature chart was for the past 10 years, the last years have been cooler which explains the downward temperature trend. The Ocean temperature charts you can find on NOAA websites, search Ocean Temperatures and you should be able to find something. He wasn't using Accuwx maps but NOAA maps.
