You are completely correct. Ray has completely undermined his own argument. This where scientific method comes into its own, by setting up hypotheses to be pulled down through experiment and peer review until we have an answer which is impervious to all current criticism because it works from all angles and provides the best prediction of the physical world. Your theory is flawed, sorry. Doing one or more good thing doesn't make us God, its simply doing something pleasing before the Lord. If you have ever told a lie, stole, etc (sin), it is impossible to be God because God can not sin. We on the other hand can and do sin. God does not need to be forgiven for being a sinner, we do and He made a way to be forgiven, Jesus. Refusing the parden means Hell for ever.
