oooo that video made me cry .......... They were so wonderful! I wish I would have visite it before it falls ...... it's really sad what did hapen :( Peace to everyone! Let stop hating each other.......(sorry for my bad writting.....my first language is french)
I miss the towers. I just wished they were still here, because it seemed, that back then, everyone was just happy. Ever since that tragedy, the world is just different. Oh, and can you imagine jumping from that high of an altitude? Boy, I wouldn't have the guts, but thanks for posting this! I really appreciate it! :)
Sad how we can create such wonders and yet be so destructive! And I bet that pigeon is still alive and wondering wtf happened to his/her perch atop that wonder of human ingunity. Man we humans need a really BIG kick in the ass.. Thanks for the vid.
Finally an "expert" in engineering and US foreign policies has decided to share the "truth" about 9/11 on this site. Do you have any keen insights into Al Qaeda and the numerous suicide bombings and beheadings around the world? Maybe those are examples of military Black Ops also.
Bush and Cheney did it to invade sovereign countries and put their bloody hands on OIL and OPIUM , inflicting genocide, NOT SPREADING DEMOCRACY! All the proof is out there, steel buildings don't BURN! Not in 6, not in 8 seconds! Controlled demo, clearly. Open your eyes, truth hurts, but it's better than a LIE!
After two or 3 weeks after the collapse of both towers, at the junkyard were founded pieces of molten steel at 1500f or more. If you think: if the twin towers had each one a very strong core with 47 giant steel columns attached together, how it is posible to pulverize that amount of tons of steel in just 10 seconds ? How it is posible that those steel columns didn't ofeered any resistance ? This was cause of the use of the thermite, and explosive that cuts the steel in a very easy way.
"if the twin towers had each one a very strong core with 47 giant steel columns attached together...How it is posible that those steel columns didn't ofeered any resistance ?"
Because it was the floors and their trusses collapsing, not the core. The core collapsed separately, not in 10 seconds.
Now the steel is cut? Make up your mind, was the steel pulverized or cut?
Both things. The steel of the core below the impact zone was cut, it's easy to know because that part of the core was intact and haven't offered any resistance during the collapse of the building. If you saw videos of the "spire" (parts of the core still standing a few seconds after the collapse) of the north tower you can see how the top is pulverized, and that was steel. Nobody knows an explanation about that effect.
"it's easy to know because that part of the core was intact and haven't offered any resistance during the collapse of the building"
How is that proof of cutting?
"If you saw videos of the "spire"...of the north tower you can see how the top is pulverized, and that was steel."
As in turned to dust? Nope, sorry, but the spire just collapses and dust comes off, no pulverized steel. By the way, demolition explosives don't pulverize anything, the resulting collapse does.
Or, it is such that the sum of {(burning jet fuel+steel+other stuff)+ {gravity + a million billion tons(kinetic energy)} + the sum of forces (friction, shearing, compression/tension, and torsion of steel v.s. steel and everything else) = an enormous amount of heat energy, thus molten steel and pulverized matter.
@gokumania - ugh, more Bush blew up the towers crap. You know how they used to make horseshoes? They heated it up first, and then "struck while the iron was hot" to bend the metal. The jet fuel explosion heated the metal, and the jackhammer effect of the top of the towers collapsing/striking down on the lower floors, getting heavier and heavier as it descended on lower floors, bent the metal. Bending metal itself makes it more pliable--try it with a coat hanger--it will eventually break.
@lcozzarelli not if the jet fuel is 4/5 kerosine that not enogh to weaken the steel and the smoke darkened within 10 minutes so that means the fires cooled off, so if the fires cooled off so did the steel -end of story.
I touched the Towers in 1999 and took pictures of them, but I didn't want to spend $12 to see NYC from the Deck of The World.....now I regret it...This video almost made me cry...thanks a lot for posting!!!
So beautiful. I went to NY 3 times and walked under the towers but never went in. I regret that now. I love that pigeon. So cute. It's amazing how they jump off tall buildings.
wish they rebuilt them, just look at all the people in the plaza such a lively place, playing songs and just hanging out, the observation deck looked fantstic, what a great place to spend your day at the wtc.
i would. and i'm not crazy. people still work in empire state and sears tower, and there's a new generation of workers looking for jobs. the people who won't will be replaced by people who will. nobody wants to work in the Freedom Tower because it overlooks a "death pit."
this video is so beautiful. those buildings were one of my favorites. i miss them so much. they were so beautiful. The new design is so ugly, it should be called the "World Tripe Center." The old towers should return, and they one day might.
P.S : mostly from US and were eye-witness or just seen on TV they cared about the building, i ain't here to start pointing fingers, but that's how it is, all they cared about the buildings and now they care about building one again and saying it'd be the WTC memorial for those who lost their lives. yeah right
OMFG, it's not about the buildings is it? yeah indeed they were representing the freedom for us people, but come on, we're talking about 2700 dead people who were just simply vanished on these terrorist attacks or whatsoever if they were some.
No... i meant on YouTube. sorry! It is a really cool video... I didn't join as a member but I have seen this a lot on YouTube.. Sorry for not mentioning which website! Thanks for the video tho.
Wow, that video is really good.. I first saw it ages ago, I was a bit emotional seeing it. These two Towers had character, more than the Empire State Building!! I never visited them but thanks for showing me what it was like there. Bless the Twins. I liked the ending where they went peek-a-boo! Now they are gone.. Thanks once again.
they may be gone, but they could return. go to the Twin Towers Alliance website and sign their petition and write to your elected officials. Stop the abomination Freedom Tower from being built. The Twin Towers should and still can return.
wow...that video is powerful to say the least...just seeing the video from the top....imagine being there when a jet hits and your trapped...people jumping from that height....great job with the video and music
ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIDEOS I EVER SEEN, great shots, great views. those 2 towers i consider are still apart of nyc skyline, they will never be forgotten
it's so weird. i never got to see them up. i saw the same exact view of the island you had last February, but with them missing...

Um, why do you people always capitalize the word "OIL"? Is it that important to you?
You also seem to like OPIUM! and SPREADING DEMOCRACY! but don't forget BURN! and LIE!
(Oh, and PS: steel buildings do burn and collapse, otherwise they wouldn't have to fireproof them)

Oh, so now the molten steel is at the junkyard? How was molten steel transported into a junkyard? How do we even know it was steel?
"how it is posible to pulverize that amount of tons of steel in just 10 seconds ?"
No steel was pulverized.
