The reason for this is that there is no GOAL to evolution. Evolution is simply the adaptation of species to their environment over time. Lastly on the subject, whales have a pelvis and femur, I would say you could consider that a "halfway adaptation".

The proof that God exists to me is the whole world. But another proof is Dr. Kent Hovind. A person sent by God to show people the truth about evolution and to give all the glory to God for his creation. Where to start: Evolution says we came from a rock, there was a canopy of water above the earth at one point (which is impossible even in theory), man lived with dinosaurs, carbon dating is unreliable, there is no geologic column or fossil record, Charles Darwin lost his faith because of evolution, scientists don't really believe macro-evolution took place, the law of angular momentum somehow disproves the big bang, the big bang was an actual explosion, and I'm sure there are many more.
I honestly don't even think he is lying. I mean he is certainly giving false information, but I think he really believes it is true. It's because he thinks that he has to believe it is true, and he doesn't. I find no conflict between science, history, philosophy, and my faith. Certainly when you actually research all of the above things and are honest about your findings, it will force you to reshape the way you've looked at everything, but that only made it more exciting and liberating for me.
To the first question: I may have to get back to you on that one. One of the biggest obstacles for me accepting evolution was that very question and the whole land mammal becoming a whale, until I read a thorough explanation of how it happened and it actually made a lot of sense. I have vids of Hovind and I find him to be quite good at what he does. To demonstrate what I meant by Atheist don't give facts, watch the two hour vid of Hovind arguing three atheist. And sure, read an article written by an atheist. How do they confuse, they go around in circles, constantly saying, its hard to understand. @abcdefg5347 Evolution isn't a staircase, that is to say that technically speaking every creature that is alive(or ever has lived) is(or was) a transitional species. The reason for this is that there is no GOAL to evolution. Evolution is simply the adaptation of species to their environment over time. Lastly on the subject, whales have a pelvis and femur, I would say you could consider that a "halfway adaptation".

You have to create your own purpose in life and take responsibility for yourself. Not even religion can offer you a personalized purpose. 3) Are you worth something? Again, that's for you to decide what your value is. No religion offers specific answers to any of these questions customized to you.

Where to start: Evolution says we came from a rock, there was a canopy of water above the earth at one point (which is impossible even in theory), man lived with dinosaurs, carbon dating is unreliable, there is no geologic column or fossil record, Charles Darwin lost his faith because of evolution, scientists don't really believe macro-evolution took place, the law of angular momentum somehow disproves the big bang, the big bang was an actual explosion, and I'm sure there are many more.

I honestly don't even think he is lying. I mean he is certainly giving false information, but I think he really believes it is true. It's because he thinks that he has to believe it is true, and he doesn't. I find no conflict between science, history, philosophy, and my faith. Certainly when you actually research all of the above things and are honest about your findings, it will force you to reshape the way you've looked at everything, but that only made it more exciting and liberating for me.

To the first question: I may have to get back to you on that one. One of the biggest obstacles for me accepting evolution was that very question and the whole land mammal becoming a whale, until I read a thorough explanation of how it happened and it actually made a lot of sense. Yes the incentive for people to do good is the fact that it builds a stable civilization. I may be butchering the term but it is somewhat of a social contract in which we agree to be civil with one another so that will be reciprocated towards us. Religion has been used too many times to justify evil acts. For example we know genocide and the killing of noncombatants to be wrong in war yet God supposedly commanded Joshua to leave no survivors whenver he conquered a non-jewish kingdom.

I often wonder why an atheist would even spend their time arguing. Afterall, they live and die. Why should they spend it refuting others. Facts why Kent Hovind cannot be lying:
1) I have studied each topic and evidence he has presented, and I have found absolutely NO FLAW. All the facts he presents are all as accurate as the fact, Michael Jackson says Hee-Hee' in many of his songs.'
2) He's a true God-fearing Christian. The average Christian doesnt WANT to lie, and Hovind has stated MANY times that he wants to be RIGHT all the time.
3) When you say he's a liar, you're either confused or you're deliberately lying yourself.

Well, it certainly facilitates a lawless attitude. Why wouldn't? After all, a 100 year life on earth pales in comparison to an "eternal life in heaven." All you have to do it truly ask, and you get that (in their deluded minds) So, why wouldn't it? They can blow buildings, go to prison, shoot doctors and it doesn't really matter. If you are "saved" you are "saved." Who cares if you spend time behind bars here or even get executed for crimes, it sends you to "heaven?"

I sure hope you do not count Kent in there. He takes and takes and takes. He actively evaded that law while breaking it. He demanded a public defender, while opposing to pay taxes that would pay for someone elses public defender. Christians indoctrinate vulnerable children with a creed of ignorance and outright lies. They tell the children (as does Kent here) that they are worthless and deserving of hell fire from birth unless they get "saved" thus making them dependent on a "god."

"Kent Hovind's a fraud, a liar!" Oh, liar, shmiar; I've searched up nearly every article and proof he has presented and I have found absolutely NO flaw in them. He may seem "crazy" if he did have "tax frauds", or whatever, but at least he may know some reasonable stuff we don't.
PS: The Evolution theory is reasonably stupid; the Creation message is reasonable reasonable (and makes a whole lot more sense and meaning.)

Mr. Hovind said that bodies under centripetal force (in a circular orbit) will curve when released from their gravitational bonds. (He used a "merry-go-round" as an example.) He is wrong. Any body under acceleration, when they lose their gravity well, will fly off in a straight line, not a curve.
He lied about population growth being geometric throughout world history; in fact, it is so only in the last 220 years, due to technology, medical sciences, and industry.

Or he is using wrong approach to the scientific community - instead of defending his theories in scientific seminars, involving modern specialists, focusing on attracting investors (church could be one of them), and concentrating on pure research - what does he do? He spends most of his time on seminars, attended mostly by middle class christians, praising God and using as the only source of his theory a single black book.
