  • @TheMSRock OMG on some real s#it, what a rare musical gem he is!

  • Tell the One You Love don't wait til its too late, Rest in Peace, Marvin the World is still starvin for your Love & we thank you for your Legacy (& the upload) sweet*****

  • @Rosyheart1 What

  • From the first minute I heard this song, I knew I'd always love it. This IS what ii call a CLASSIC.

  • @iniokon how say I agree, And do.

  • Is this Marvin on bass or Gordon Banks? This is one of the best R&B songs of the 80s. There will never be another soul singer like Marvin Gaye.

  • Marvin did on a song by himself, what a group on of singers found hard to accomplish as far a laying tracks on top of tracks, weaving his background vocals into the song, now that is a MASTER at work. GOD BLESS... R.I.P.

  • Nice. We miss ya dude!

  • 27 years and MG still sounds as fresh as when this song came out - YUM! Miss you MG . . . still <3

  • This is another one of those great hits that should not be remade by anyone but the true king and sense he is gone all we can say is replay the true king of soul pop and rock and roll. and why I feel like a groupie

  • how much bliss from listening to this man! thank you jesus for our man marvin.

  • how much bliss from listening to this man. thank you jesus for our marvin.

  • life without marvins music would be a mistake

  • @DOWN2DIE Was that Beethoven?

  • @KrfNYC2 no it was a German philosopher named Friedrich Nietzsche. i changed it from "life without music would be a mistake"

  • @DOWN2DIE Ah okay. I knew it was Nietzsche or Twain or somebody like that. And of course he didn't say "Marvin".

  • marvin had such a sweet voice

  • The Majority of artists of every generation since, of many genres and from so many different cultures owe to so much to this man that to define him would require a description far more powerful than simply 'Legend'.

    RIP Marvin

  • No one can ever replace him Marvin Gaye is the best and alway's will be to me love you Marvin RIP XXXX

  • Im not even from the US, or even lived during his lifetime, but man, his voice speaks to all colors, cultures and ages!

  • In my opinion, MJ was cute but Marvin was FINE!!!!!!!

Can't stop bopping to this perfect tune....God...love it!! *Sigh*

This man sang with so much sex appeal and passion in his lyrics and music xxx

  • @TheCaulfield1 Marvin is King of Soul but don't be fooled, MJ could'have been second to none if he had stuck with singing soul and funk, but he diversified his repertoire by singing pop, rock, r&b, etc. But History has already been written for both of them, Marvin is number one male soul singer, Michael is number one overall.

  • this is my all time favorite artist we go back a long time when my stepfather introduce me to him in the late 60s and early 70s rest in peace Donald Keith Black and Marvin I hope you two meet in Heaven because you two were beautiful souls

  • Another one of the greats gone before his time....

  • amazing great awesome song! Marvin sang with his heart. I miss this great artist.

Don't know why Marvin, 2Pac and Peter Tosh left this planet very early

  • they had to get back to their alien spaceship :P

  • yezzzir dont and Bob Marley

  • @sky1927 because they were all shot

  • only 57,314 Views Not sure about any others out there but I Think I must have 500 of those myself. Feel sorry for the ones that don't know about this one. Thanks for the post and Thank you Marvin

  • This is a Banger! its got me float amongst the notes!!! Real musicccc so soulllllfulll!

  • Marvin fits the definition of a musical genius. I have old school all over my house like Teddy, Barry White, Nancy Wilson, and Ella Fitzgerald, but there is no one that is on the level that Marvin Gaye established. I will debate this with anyone. Nuff said.

  • This song sounds like Marvin inventing the sound of modern r&b. No-one who came after him was anywhere as good as him, though.

  • @Paulph04 i defo agree the beginning of modern r n b

  • Still waiting for you again baby, always waiting, hoping to find you again!

    Marvins music=HEART AND SOUL!

  • Beautiful

  • OMG...I dunno where i been ...but i love this song! Just amazing...thank you for posting this...I luv luv luv luv luv it! Thanks M!

  • I miss you Marvin, I will love you always!!

  • Greatest singer ever.

  • will never be another like him love you marvin

  • In my opinion marvin gaye is one of the greatest soul singers that ever lived. i grew up listening to him. R.I.P.

  • Unquestionably one of the great soul singers to set foot on this planet...

  • @magnnum01 NO WAY! I DISAGREE COMPLETELY! YOU MUST BE INSANE TO SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT! I MEAN SERIOUSLY, DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! AAAGGHHHH!!!!....Marvin IS the greatest ever...period. Peace and love.

  • @ladykiara76 Drop the words "One of" and "soul" and the "s" in "singers" and I agree with you.

  • @ladykiara76 C'mon man. You say that like it's a bold statement. I think that he is, by far, the greatest singer that I've ever heard. He's my favorite musician.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, you were a genius with this! One of the best tracks on "Midnight Love" IMHO! :)

  • @grapevine4, you are really Gordon Banks? :-)

I love this song. Absolute classic. Lifetime achievement. Bless you!

  • Are you really Gordon Banks? oo

  • Gordon, I always wanted to ask you, what was the process like making what was to be marvin's final album with him, and watching him lay down such brilliant leads and vocal arrangement layered on your beautiful tune? This is my favorite tune on the album. Please share. You are a baad boy. Thanks for the pleasure.

  • Morceau manifique !!! un de ses meilleur pour moi !!

  • this + 3rd world girl are my shit

  • My all time favorite song Marvins Hidden Gem

  • I love it. It gives me such a rush of memories. It brings me to a moment in time. I can still smell the air - still remember what the air smells like that day.

  • This song is the 'JAM'!! This is final track on Marvin's comeback album... entitled 'Midnight Love'. Its SO sincere and poignant to know that in less than a year after its release he would be dead at the hands of his own father.

  • this rocks!

  • i got this album, dope!

  • Good Song

  • Underrated song. It's amazing that his voice changed very little from the 60's to the 80's.
