  • Great audio. This bus has a particularly good V-730/31 scream, not to mention that nice transmission 'yelp' at the top of first gear.

  • nice one sounds just a little whiner than a TMC 2 rts

  • 8615 has a DD 6V92TA engine while 8608 has a DD 6V71N engine.

  • This bus was an ex-RTC unit.

  • While this bus may use the Detroit Diesel 6V71N with Allison V-730, my preferred power for these Classics (GM, MCI or Nova) would be either the 6V92TA with V-730, 6V92TA with Voith D863.3ADR or Cummins C8.3 with Voith D863.3ADR.

  • ive heard of Classics having the Series 50 but never a C8.3. That'll be pretty kool. I think the 6V71 was considered a "low power" option for most properties.

  • On the modern Flxibles, both the 6L-71TA and the C8.3/ISC were the low-power options.

  • the C8.3E pushed more torq than a 6L71TA and had more HP.

  • The early ISCs, for transit buses, originally were the same as the C8.3E power-wise.

  • I think it's the low RPM's. but how much speed can it hold if it is low anyway?
