Shenmue OST CD1: The Sadness I Carry On My Shoulders

Shenmue 2's ending had me so frustrated... Lan Di was supposed to arrive in Guilin, I had hoped for a final fight and some revelations... It's sad that now we'll never know how the story really ends... Shenmue is not based on any book or anything, so we'll simply never know Ryo and Shenhua's future... They should release a novel or something. Does that not exist in Japan ?

Truly masterful. It's one of those themes that make you picture yourself alone somewhere, really thinking about life and what you need to do to change.... For the better. Long live Shenmue.

sigh.. such a perfect theme to match me since I do carry the sadness on my shoulders wherever I go or I try to bring happiness but in the end.. it's only sadness. Though I know in life is not always happy but also sad too. Or it is just me, who always have to carry the sadness on my shoulders...

I just tought about which genre Shenmue is.

It's not easy to answer that.

But in some way it's like one of these FMV-Games (ok, I never played nor watched a review from one of those), but in good and with elements from other genres.
