I understand every intricate piece of the displays were hand made~ from clothes to shoes and all facial features were hand painted. I see Dave Rowland put the windows together buy need to know who actually made the diplays. PLease and thank you:)
I used to see these every year! One of my BEST childhood memories! I've been wanting to share some of the memories with loved ones and friends and now, in a way, I can!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, for taking the time to make such a wonderful video and to such upbeat songs:) God Bless You! And Merry Christmas!
Oh! And I love the birds like the ducks and Geese in that display. I stopped the vid to see them. They look so real! The squirell did too. Most all the animals did. Loved it! :)
Thank you so much for posting this. I have wonderful memories of seeing these as a child and then taking my own children to see them. In the days of no tv, the windows were totally magic. I still love seeing theml
Woodward when in busieness would have Christmas displays somtimes sponsered by defferient companies and as I recall one year each company had a window are they could do. I believe there was a contest for the best one. I miss Wordwards sadly the building is no mare fore the most part. but the legendary red W will be back int the new housing development that will approbriatly be called Wooodward and the W will be part of it somhow

I have never gone to Canada Place to see the remnants of the Woodwards displays - NEVER will either.
I hold my memories of Woodwards dear and would never be able to see them so out of place without crying. It's just wrong.

i didn't begin to go to vancouver until 1986 and we didn't go near woodwards. Next time I was out there was 1998 and Woodwards Vancouver was closed.
I heard how great it was and those window displays at Christmas
