The government will issue more regulations, out of control spending, and ridiculous groups like the EPA, then when everything goes to shit they'll peg capitalism as a failure and BAM, socialism.
Sounds like a smart man who could admit he made a mistake. He was also smart enough to know he didn't know everything. Wish more liberals would at least look at the stuff they hate so much. Most don't even know why they hate folks on the right.
@Glasya666 What? He read and understood the writings of the finest libertarian/free market minds of the last century. I'd have to say your comment makes no sense. I read one of this books and it was good. What his neighbor did for him, Ron Paul did for me (and following that people like Judge Napolitano, John Stossel, Lew Rockwell, Peter Schiff, ect)
@darkmahou28 Wow, he can read books? I'm impressed. He was a liberal simply because he was around liberals. Then he becomes a conservative because he's exposed to conservative ideas. The guy does not seem to be capable of thinking for himself. So yea, the "brain dead" title applies.
This guy is retarded. Yeah, lets not have a method for systemically keeping track of taxis, the next stop, lots of women getting into the cars of rapists. Nice job on thinking bozo.
@thirteendays13 Its the concept of how the market will rise to a need as long as government stays out. He just used the Taxis for a example. Open your mind.
@thirteendays13 This is true but it was a simple example that is easy for people to get their head around. Many thing do need to be regulated but by states and not over regulated like so many things are in this country.
drhdan, you are wrong. Democrats get just as much money from corporations. Look at companies like GE. They get great grassroots support from the likes of the green companies, big unions, George Soros. A republican contributor is always a fat cat and a democrat a public spirited philanthropist. That mentality is dead.
the problem is.... the democrats hand out money for social reason...however the republicans hand out money to corporations who fund their campaigns. If you compare the numbers, the amount republics hand out dwarfs the amount dems hand out.
@dhrdan Go look at who Obama's biggest campaign contributors were in 2008. And it's the Democrats who operate the ultimate kickback operation. They recieve contributions from public sector unions and state employees so that they'll increase their salaries and pensions. All at taxpayers expense. Those are the people YOU vote for, pal.
hayak and freidman make alot more sense than keynes ever did. people have to learn common sense. liberal socialists arguments ignore human nature.

@dallasjeepmaster It's a pretty bad example. Not everything should be unregulated, nor does it need to be for the economy to work well.

It's pretty weird that all the hollywood types hate free enterprise, when they're jobs are the ultimate meaning of free enterprise!

The U.S. is not a free enterprise system; it's a kleptocracy sanctioned by the highest people in government. Time to pull your head out.

@pmp1015 Don't forget that Hollywood is heavily unionized, and that most people in Hollywood are knee-jerk hypocrites.
