@invalidwaffle at claires they use a gun powered by only the persons hand so the cartilage won't shatter however if they pull out one of those black guns say No because those are spring powered and WILL shatter the cartilage

To all the idiots that have posted rude comments about getting your ears pierced at Claire's, accidents happen. Obviously the girl didn't MEAN to pierce her glove. And to the idiots that are complaining about guns being used for your cartilage, I had mine done with a gun and everythings fine. You have to be experienced to use a gun for your cartilage. So obviously, the ones that get their cartilage shattered is a result of non-experienced piercers. Shew.

Yu DONT get yur cartilage pierced with a gun!!! Mayb yur 1st,2nd, and 3rds but that's it!!! Yu can get the back of the gun stuck to yur piercing or the glove lyk this dum lady. And yu can have a cartilage shatter!

I got my cartilage pierced today but with a needle, and have encountered no problems so far. Getting your cartilage pierced with a gun isn't a good idea because: Guns can't be properly sterilized, and the blunt force of the stud shooting through the ear can shatter the cartilage. Your risk of infection is also greater if you get your cartilage pierced wtih a gun.

i HAVE AN EXTREMELY LOW TOLERANCE OF PAIN, and the lady that did my second holes told me that guns hurt wayyy less. so obviously i was going to get mine done at claire's.. the only thing scaring me it the possibility of the cartilage shattering... has there been any problems with yours?

i got my belly button, ears gauged (14 gauge) and nose pierced at age 12.. lol and im getting my septum done and hopefully my smiley... and i'm working to be a professional.. haha im lucky.. and the gun is NOT the way to go.. its a wonderful way to get infected... trama... and awful shit like that.. i would have did it the right way and got it done by a professional.. with a needle.. not a pierce of jewelry jamming through your ear.. best of luck! with love, rachel*~

I just literally got mine done 30 minutes ago with a GUN and I'm perfectly fine...ibot it done by a PROFESSIONAL and nothing happened! It's not the gun going through your ear it's the earring!
