I think Maya made Emily more happier and we know Emily still has feelings for Maya because that was her first real girl relationship. But I don't see any big sparks with Samara. And I do believe the writer did this so they can bring Maya back in, but thats goin to be a problem for Emily because now she's gunna have to choose who she wants to be with if Maya still wants to be with her.
