@Emmaki13 the yogurt (Yoğurt in Turkish) is not greek. The name derived from Turkish word:Yoğmak (to thicken) it is introduced to Asia minor and europe by Turks. Greek yogurt is an american definition of strained yogurt. In Europe, this kind of yogurt known as strained yogurt. But since it is introduced to USA market as greek yogurt, Mr. Hamdi didn't want to change. It would confuse consumer. In Turkish and kurdish "çoban" (Choban) means also shepard maybe for other languages as well.

Choban is Turkish word = Shepherd
"-i" added at the end to any word is Arabic grammer meaning: kind of /style / like /as.
Choban-i = Choban style / the kind of yogurt chobans would make, and /or eat.
Yogurt is Turkish word, but the g is silent; it's there just to connect the letter o and letter u.
(So the word is not pronounce yog-urt, nor yo-gurt, rather it's pronounced yo~urt.)
On the carton it also says Greek yogurt; perhaps this brand is made under the commercial influence of 3 kitchens
