  • One of the greatest bands of those years; original line-up, or not: Irrelevant, 'cause they changed personel quite often, but always played at their best. Was so fortunate to see them live once in the late 70's

  • "this is not the original line up" who cares its a damn good popsong / performence ! 10CC classics 4 ever! THNK U GUYS if u read this !

  • It's great to see this. A good friend (now deceased) turned me onto this great album and this great song. RIP Barry.

  • There are many sites in the UK designated Brownfield sites which are considered suitable for development. Unfortunately this included Strawberry Studios South where many 10cc songs and songs by other artists such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and The Police, were recorded. It was bulldozed and a block of flats built! Shame.

  • Gotta love Eric Stewart!

  • One person won't fly with Mandy !

    Great 70's track

  • ...just like the girl, from Dr No.... great great lyric.

  • I've always love Eric. Deborah xxx

  • Gouldman and Godley played what?

  • And what have we got today ?Justin Beiber !

  • Thanks for posting, been feeling a little bit nostalgic today and started recalling songs from my childhood. Although I liked this song at the time its only with hind sight you realize just how amazing this was. To produce songs of such harmononious melodies, string arrangements and vocals, with technology that compared with what is available today is relatively stoneage, shows just what a fantastic band 10 cc were. The live performances are the closest thing to studio quality of any band.

  • Great live version...Consider yourselves lucky on that side of the Atlantic. You still get to see them live...I'd still love to see them, 50% original or not...They do a fantastic job and still care about the integrity of the originals. Truly wonderful stuff!

  • Great upload. Thanks.

  • Just the Greatest, great sound, great songs, great musicians! only wish I could have seen them back then...but I was still in my pram....;) lol...

  • One of the few groups who could play their music live, and it sounded just like the studio version. Saw them on the "Bloody Tourists" tour....fantastic

  • aaahhhh....beautiful!!!!

    Great song!!!!

  • Yippee, got tickets for their York concert later this month. I was a teenager when they were on the scene in the 70's and listening to all their music again brings it all flooding back, they really don't make them like this anymore, do they.

  • Thanks Annie for all of the great videos. I watch them everyday.

  • Gotta admit, not gay, but I had such a man crush on Eric Stewart back in

the 70's. Super talented pretty boy, with silky smooth vocals.

  • @remlap48 i can duplicate everything you said mate, must admit he was a good looker but obviously liked him more for his music.

  • Even without the talented Godley & Creme, this is a sterling line-up: Stewart, Gouldman, Rick Fenn (guitar), Stuart Tosh (drums, ex-Pilot), Paul Burgess (percussion, but on additional keys here) and Vic Emerson (keys, ex-Sad Cafe). Only the best can join 10cc!

  • Have always loved this song as my parents used to be 10cc fans. Being a musician myself I'd often wondered how well such a complex song would work live......now I know, brilliantly !!

  • I love Queen and 10cc.I didn't know I had to pick.I recently started listening to 10cc after years away and love them all over.again.

  • It's so easy for that Eric Stewart. He's so good at what he does & has been since his early days on the Manchester "beat scene" backin the early 60s.Keep doin it Eric & thanks,& thanks to you AnnieOakley for this gem.

  • 10cc were such a superb band - equal to Queen in every way. I can only assume they didn't get the same recognition because Eric Stewart, whilst being an excellent singer/songer writer/musician was not as extrovert on stage as Freddie Mercury. One of many classic songs. God I feel so lucky to have grown up with this music.

  • @Sunhillow1

I wouldn't want to start something, but I've always preferred 10cc to Queen...and I saw Queen live with Thin Lizzy opening in 1976. For me, the 10cc songs were /are 'better' and by that I mean there is more going on. Granted, both bands pulled off a lot of different sounds but I'm happy to take a lilttle shelter every so often from Freddie Mercury's voice and persona.

  • great song for christmas time!

  • gouldman & stewart. musicians musicians. masters of their art

  • love this....think its my favourite of 10cc. seen them live 2 years ago, they played this and it blew me away. gouldman was the only original member but amazing still. i started playing guitar shortly after. :) cant believe that someone disliked this! shame on them.

  • Wow the singer looks like a young John Ritter lol

  • ha ha, how true !

  • they just dont make songs like this any more, grew up listening to 10cc

  • 4 musical geniouses in one group. The 70s before punk.

  • Comment removed

  • one of the best pop songs ever - in fact 3 songs in 1

  • I was at this concert...always remember some idiot guy jumping on stage and thumping little Eric....eric picked himself up and carried on saying 'I didn't think my singing was that bad!' Love him.....he was so talented and even more gorgeous.

  • Great song, Thanks for posting. . .

    Airline hostesses. . .

I am thinking about this from a mans perspective, please forgive me...

  • Eric is a true star .Not only does he have the looks,He is a great all round musician, plus his awesome stage presence. and voice ,I miss the concerts at M/C Appollo in the 70s+80s Ahhh

  • Really amazing, loving Seventies/Eighties at the moment, live is even better!

  • why can't I find "Clockwork Creep" anywhere?

  • once it was on youtube. But now it isn't here anymore.

  • That was one of my favorites on "Sheet Music".

  • corrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!! is all I can say

  • This is really cool in every other area as far as representing the original studio track, including drums by Paul Burgess, which faithfully duplicated Kevin Godley note for note, but I don't know what Eric was thinking when he let the other guitarist (forgot his name, too lazy to Google it) play the first part of the guitar break so innacurately. I say this because Eric Stuart plays his solo's live perfectly, remembering every single note from the studio versions. Slightly dissappointing.

  • Eric's playing is absolutely brilliant in the studio, and when he reproduces it onstage. It always lead me to think that he puts a lot of thought into the initial creation of a guitar solo, like he's carefully selecting every note, and when he duplicates it exactly when playing it live, it's because of how methodical he was when creating it. The best example of this, is the solo at the end of "Feel the Benefit".Live it's done note for note . Maybe the first part of "I'm Mandy, Fly Me" was Lol's.

  • eric is a fantastic man tanu hace un minuto

  • I've just spent an hour and a half tabbing the solo from the 10CC greatest, came to find this to hear it live and it's not even close! Damn it!

  • wheres lol? 10cc aint 10cc without lol

  • Lol and Kevin left 10cc and made a duo called "Godley & Creme" (maybe you know and just wrote "where's lol" although you knew)

  • i love this live verson of this tune!!!

  • brilliant group

  • I love this song. What's Eric up to these days? He's pretty hot. *sigh*

  • This version of 10cc at least was one half of the original band and they released new music even though playing older tracks during live performances that they'd written. Gouldman on the other hand continues to tour as 10cc, with a playlist comprised totally of vintage tracks without attempting to add any new material.

  • @AnnieOakley53 Thanks, havn,t seen it since released in about 76??

  • one of the best bands ever.

  • Another great 10cc tune. Shows the wide range of Eric Stewart, great harmonies and the "tounge-in-cheek lyrics they always mastered.

Daydreaming at a poster, sharks approaching, Mandy saving him, like the girl in Dr. No, no,no,no. Greatness.

10cc is certainly one of the most underrated bands ever.

    btw....

In 1971, National Airlines spent millions naming their planes after girls and advertising, "I'm 'name', Fly me". It was a popular ad campaign in the U.S.

  • The title for this song came from a an advertising poster in the UK for British Airways, which had the slogan, "I'm Mandy Fly Me".

  • Their best song in my opinion.Reminds me of long hot summer of 1976

  • me too! The year I sat my A levels

  • Better than the studio version!

  • This one is fantastic and Eric Stewart sounded and looked great! I love seeing the close-ups of the guitar playing.

  • my mum and dad went to a 10cc concert at wembley in 1982. i expect they did a few dates, but this could be the one. my mum was over the moon to see this clip, it brought back good memories for her - dad is no longer with us. THANK YOU for posting

  • I was NAMED after this song... lol I dunno if thats a good thing or not....

  • What's your name?

  • I was a big fan of the band in the 1970s,saw the original 4 in concert in 76, truly awesome.

  • I was there in '82!

  • Exellent live performance

  • absolutly fabulous drummer!

  • Only 1500 views??

This classic have been stored in my favourites.....forever!

  • This is fantastic!

  • best band of the seventies 10cc kick ass eric stewart one of the best singer songwriters ever get your ass to leeds so i can finally see you all perform best band ever

  • Blimey, is that really Eric Stewart in 1982? He looks younger than when the song first came out!

  • love this song.part of my life.

  • No problems - glad this is the one you referred to. My first album was 10cc back in 1973 then every album release and now CD duplications up to Do Not Bend the last solo project from Eric Stewart - very highly recommended (but as I always say, I am biased where ES is concerned!)

  • Yes! That's the one, thanks for posting it. 1982, I saw that tour! You have a great 10cc collection here. How Dare You was the first album I ever bought.

  • 'How Dare You' are probably one of the most underrated albums from the 70s ! I just love every song on it. And ofcourse, Im Mandy Fly Me, who can ever forget it....
