@liamcjs101 so, how was it on the concert? i saw them for the second time last month, perfect gig and after the concert some of us, friends, found a way to the back of the hall and were talking and drinking beer with the band for like an hour and half. We also got some picks, signatures and photos of us and the band :D
@wasp3451 if you ask me, Def Leppard is #1 for ever. However, Saxon (and Iron Maiden especially with Paul Di Anno of course) are also great and it doesn't matter if they are big or not, what does matter is their quality and the fact that they exist, perform and are having an army of fans who are loyal to them.
Man I've been walking around loving this song for over 20 years, I've hung out with all sorts of Metalheads and Rock fans for a good portion of my life. but yet I've never heard anybody even mention this song, sure everybody knows "Wheels of Steel", "Princess of the Night","The Power and the Glory" etc...But Man! I'm glad to know there are others like me that share the knowing of this amazing song played with great depth and feeling! HAILS TO YOU ALL! AND ALL THE BROKEN HEROS
This is the best war [anti-war] ballad ever written. Flawless in it's heart felt glory of the fact that there is no glory in war. The lyrics speak to us all, and the preformance of Saxon in delivering it all to us is impecable. I love Saxon for writting this song. I love Saxon for Saxon's sake.
there image was funny that y they never made it 1 guy looks ike the singer from def leppard the one guy looks like tony iommi the other guy looks like a poker champion and 1 guy looks like hes in the hells angels . who manged them please shoot him image is imp 2 making it big lol
I saw Saxon in April 1998 at Harpo's in Detroit. They were simply awesome! Before they started their set,I had the priviledge of interviewing Biff on the band's tour bus. He was very cool, laid back and had a good sense of humor. The other band members were on the bus too but preping for the show. Saxon is one of my favorite hard rock/metal bands and came from the legendary NWOBHM. I have this video on VHS tape but it is great to see it here!!!
i'm glad that there are people as you here. because of guys like you, heavy metal is still alive. I saw Saxon on 20 of February 2009 in Ljubljana, Slovenija among with Iced Earth. Damn I was their roadie:D Before the concert Saxon were locked backstage, whereas Iced Earth joined me and my friends on the hallway, eating pizzas:D after the gig Biff and other guys weren't in the mood and quickly went to the bus, except the guitar player, who even talked to me and signed me play-list!
@view247flix well, this year the story was different, i managed to get into the back of the hall and meet the guys. We were there for like an hour and half, talking and drinking beer. Paul even remebered me from the last gig in Ljubljana and give me bunch of his stuff (passes from previous concerts, picks, etc.)

I dislike most old people, but I would be OK with being 40-50 years old if it meant I got to grow up listening to 80s metal bands
