    can you make a video of how you got your splits? I can't find anything to help with those, and i think thats what's hurting my spiral more than anything

  • Oh thanks so much Laurai! These are really usefull. I have been stretching a lot lately and i feel like im never progressing with my splits. im working on side splits and im about 1-1 1/2 feet off the ground. i cant do the one foot in front of other AT ALL. it hurts my hips soooo much, i dont understand how people put like one foot in front and the other foot sideways.. did that make sense? I hope you know what im talking about.

  • oh I'm glad you're making progress. Do you mean like, in a split position one leg in front and the other behind in a straight line, or like.. one leg in front and the other to the side as in an L, like a 90 degree angle?

  • I mean like one leg in front and the other behind in a straight line. i noticed a lot of people go down with one leg behind the other shaping a L and i just can't do it.

  • Thanks for this Laura, that is super-useful. My plan is to do all the part 1 and part 2 stretches along with the video every day and then practise Biellmann etc....which sounds a bit weird now I think about it, but I'm sure I can make it work. :)

  • thank you, i do some of these but there some that i've never even thought of, so thank you bery much for posting this vidio. when i do a catch foot spiral, i cant seem to get my foot to touch my head, do you have any tips that may help? thanks again, :)

  • just practice. you just have to stretch before you try it, and just keep trying, you'll get there eventually. it took me FOREVER to be able to touch my head. like.. a year probably.

  • I can touch my foot to my head, but I can't do some of the other things you can. It's insane that you can get your leg straight up in a spiral! 0_o I think I need to do some of those exercises. My spiral is in dire need of some help. Added to favorites.

  • Yep! In the beginning when I was grossly not flexible, I stretched every day, 3 times and it only took like.. 5 minutes each time. It was a slow process but I was getting slightly better each week. I'm going to say it took me about 4 months to get a split.

    I do those stretches too! You are getting very flexibile now, and its great how you cna do box splits! It took me ages! lol
