You need harder alloy plugs. At the end they were spitting a bit.Not bad speed for a N/A. The worst I have ever been on was an 08ninjazx6 drop bored and charged with 2 800cc turbines.

Top on that was210 mph. The only problem was the engine rev would overrun the reground cams. So the spring killed any top potential. ECUtuned the rev to 18/5 then you could hear the spitting. spring float killing the comp. boost was around 12 psi. so yeah it was fun to ride at that speed. 10.8.1 dropped alloy alum.

Why are you guys talking about electronics and shit like this watch the vid, none of that had anything to do with the power that this bike put to the ground, yes the rsv and the zx are great bikes but they are not track testeing this is real street shit and for me this is what will make me by a bike not Rossi and them going around a track I want to know straight line power is all I care about, this is how we do in Tx, stay out of mags they are all biased in some way or the other trust me

Based on what Im seeing, The zx is faster than this s1000rr that people be crying about it. I mean when I saw this same video with the guy on the ninja, he was doing like 188-189mph. This s1000rr was only doing 186. Plus this bmw came in 4th place anyway in the fast bike magazine. The zx got second and the rsv4 is bike of the year. That rsv4 has less power than both the s1kr and the zx but the electronics are better on it which made it a more killer on the track. the zx is still winning though.

@89powerup Speed error. Need to get your eyes check cause if you watch the BMW catches up the the ZX on the straights. But that doesnt mean shit either due to the ZX's gearing. Both bike are pretty equal. And whatever FastBike Mag has to say doesnt mean jack shit either cause neither bike won a championship this year. I guess we should all be riding R1s or Ducati's

@da1000rrstuna The bikes that the guys ride in world superbike and ama are way modified from stock so you cant compare to the bike we can buy off the showroom floor. The superbike shootout I watched for 2011 the BMW was top bike. Now in the race world the bmw is struggling to keep up. Also just for the record the best superbike school in the world CA superbike school only uses BMWS1000RR even tho its the most expensive bike. Im interested in seeing the reviews for the 2012's

@MrAssholebynature1 Its freezing up here!! Sorry, but no one is getting the ZX14. Its a big heavy boat that will not hang on the run we do. In the long straights or the drag stip Im sure it can do its thing. Instead, I added some goodies to my ZX10R. Should be interesting. Also, in March or early April keep your eyes open for the 1199 vs S1000RR vs ZX10R dyno shoot out we are doing, just waiting for the dealer to get the bike.

All of these motorcycles have varying degrees of speedometer error. Depending on the bikes, gearing, speed, electronics, etc., this can be anywhere from 7-10%. Judging top speeds by skimming YouTube videos that happen to have the speedo visible is absurd.

@89powerup the speeds on the tachometer aren't true speed, in reality they're doing 10+mph less than what the reading says. Plus most of those magazines are biased to their favorite bike.

The bmw is the standard right now and everyone know it but don't want to admit it because they are brand loyal and this thing is all over youtube taking a shit on every jap bike, the new 10 stepped up and failed really bad not saying the 10 is a bad bike, next up is the 2012 ZX14 hearing claims of 210bh and a 1441cc out the box we will see soon, you can see the power hell it walks this 10 down from at least a 1/4 mile back when they top them out...

I wouldn't say the new zx10r failed...its MUCH better looking than the s1000 and it competes very close with it in every aspect.

The new zx14 is a touring bike or a drag bike, not much going to happen with one on a track or road course.

All the 1000cc bikes are so close it is really just personal preference.
