There's nothing offensive in the scene. It's hilarious just like the rest of the movie, which ALSO makes affectionate fun of gymnastics. People need to develop a sense of humor. If anyone assumes that gymnasts are "girly" and "frilly frilly" it's because some of them take the sport so d*mn seriously, they can't recognize a friendly joke at their expense. People need to lighten up.

Great scene. "They're freaktastic!" All the principals in this movie are so great.

No, they probably deleted it for the same reason movies delete any scenes: it detracted from the flow of the movie. It stinks, but they have to think of the movie as a whole. Were those scenes really any more offensive than the stuff that makes it into other movies these days?

Obviously, the makers of this movie have never actually watched real rhythmic gymnastics. If they had, then they would have known they were completely wrong on portraying rhythmics as a bunch of kids throwing balls and ribbons at each other. I'm a little disappointed. I don't go around saying artistic is a bunch of kids running around on bars and throwing each other around on trampolines. It's a funny scene, but completely incorrect.

I suppose.. it's just the way they made the scene. "The Rhythmics" is what the dude said, making it seem like the scene was pointed as an insult to rhythmic gymnastics. They could have made the scene without making it seem like an insult. Anyways, all that aside, it is a really funny scene. xD
