These animals are highly intelligent, share a common language, and are capable of understanding complex problems. They are not "meat." They are living beings. And anyone who thinks it's all right to eat them should have to see video of the cruelty inside a slaughter house. If you can't even look, how can you continue to cause this suffering?
@veganfreegan this video obviously isn't a slaughter house and they are striving to give the pigs good living conditions. and as stated in one of her other videos her fam. kills 1 pig a year. You've obviously never owned hogs, for all their intelligence they can be pretty vicious. I can only hope you'll stumble on a wild boar while out on one of your pansy naturewalks, see how far pascifist debating of their finer qualities gets you against a raging 1000lb hog. take your bullshit elsewhere.
yes, i understand pigs are very clever (all animals are!), but regardless of that, they'll still going to be kept for meant, milk, etc.
a good stockman (and industry ISN'T a good stockman!) will never inflict any harm other than when absolutelly neccessary. this certainly includes a respect for the animal, a natural surrounding surrounding and a quick death.
so... slaughterhouse OOONE isuue.... here something COMPLETELY different.
@annieffa .....so did i say anything wrong? honestly i don't get where you're shooting at.... i meant only-grain diet vs. a diverse pasture diet.
yes, for flavor marbling is most important. lean, pasture pigs can have more marbling (properly: inter-muscular fat) and taste better than fat, only-grain fed pigs.
Grain, just like factory CAFO farming. No thanks. I can do a lot better than that, but then I'm no expertvillage.

actuually only grain produces less flavour. meat is better on pasture.

@bluemoondiadochi I would have to disagree. Flavor comes from fat marbling inside the meat. Grain makes the animal gain more fat.
