Regarding rights, Martin Luther King Jr. may have said it best when he said, "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." If one group of people are even slightly marginalized, then every other group of people are that much less free themselves; no one is free until everyone is free, including serving in the military.

@harj2009, where homosexuality and pedophilia differ is that, unlike pedophilia, homosexuality involves consent. Additionally, Coretta Scott King supported LGBT equality and said that Martin Luther King Jr. would've done the same. People who say that gays need help for being gay are ignorant and prejudiced, and maybe fearful and/or hateful; moreover, those people seem to communicate with numerous grammatical and spelling errors (does it reflect on their education? I don't know...).
