@Mulizify thank you very much for that. To shed a bit of light as to "my" intended purpose for this type of truss please view "how to set up mobile dj lights with a twist via ellaskins if you would like, Also please keep in mind that not all DJ's live and work under european law so what may NOT be allowable in one country might be okay to practice in another, hence the disclaimer in the description box of all my diy videos. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment.
@Mullzify what the heck with the curse word! show some respect for yourself and others. Everyone has an opinion but no one has the right to abuse another with profanity as you have done on this video and others in the space of 120 minutes.
@djfifth5element i am sorry about saying it that way, but you have to understand that what you are doing is wrong at several points! and im just saying it loud and clear, because its so unacceptable!
I took this comment from another guy on Youtube so to let everyone know about it.
Truss is professionally designed, engineered and certified for a reason, to guarantee the safety of those using it and those under it! The safety factor you are applying to this truss is a guess and means nothing. Suggesting that other people follow your example is highly irresponsible.
My own comment.. you shouldnt make this, its illegal and your equipment wont be covered if your system fails.
@Fonz8382 I think I paid like $8 for a 5' length of PVC $2 each for the L joints and $4 for each T joint. Please keep in mind I live on a little island and things cost a bit more here.
@Fonz8382 Check MrDjchompiras channel he made his truss out of PVC also but a smaller diameter and with just the one section but he does show lights in use on his truss. I hope this helps you out.
sorry to be the evil one, but that us illegal to use, IF the rules are the same as in europe. In europe, trussing and other gear for suspending stuff over other peoples heads, has to be TUV certified and has to go through extensive testing. I wouldn't want to be you, if the thing fell apart and damaged or in worst case, killed someone :) You have no idea about the max carrying capacity and the maximum span etc etc. Buy certified equipment when it comes to this kind of gear! :)
Rules are rules. But you will not get a ticket for not doing it at small venues. BUT if the accident happens, and the homemade truss collapses, your insurance company will not cover. When it comes to bigger events and the "government work authorities" or what you call it in USA comes and see's it, they will tell you to take it down and fix it, and maybe give you a ticket for it. But that is how it is in Europe. TÜV certificate and others are needed. homemade truss it NOT SAFE!
Can put give me a link to the video on how you you made the speaker mounts Thanks
