Ok the hull (proper term for the plastic part of a shot gun shell) that this guy found is a target load not for a slug or even 00 buck. So the chances it would be used in a crime is slim to non. Also spent shot gun hulls are littered all over the place. Seen as in how a 500 rd case usually retails for about 75 bucks. Also even if it were used in a crime if it was not picked up at the scene then why would any one care?

Why not just fill the top with wadding, melted candle wax, foam, glue, hot glue, or just anything to hold the pellets in. Really all its there is to keep your pellets falling out. No crimping necessary. No 'premade' cover necessary
I guess this is workable, I wouldn't put them in my browning. That is a very dangerous set up. The wad plays a crucial role and your paper wad is not set up right and your not properly measuring the right amount of shot or creating the right amount of head space either between the change and shot or the shot and crimp. your going to end up with a face full of shrapnel and some point. I also don't see the point since you can get all the free hulls you can carry from any range.

@MrDav1999 as its being fired, its totally encased in firearms grade steel i.e. the breech of the shotgun so i dont think you need to worry 'bout that, son.

uhh... packing bullets is not illegal... I don't know what state your in but most you do not even need a permit to pack bullets. Only a permit to build firearms. Welcome to AMERICA.
