@MrHuwco for sure you could but you pull him off balance (kazushi) when he grabs the sleeve anyway. it all depends on the timing, there's always a counter its down to who has better timing, posture, set ups and chaining the attacks together!
I was thinking if his head is on the left (ie, on his opponent's right side), shouldn't he be penetrating -step between opponent's leg with his right leg to get the double leg takedown?
Very nice, I was always told this was the judo double leg, but in reality, it's pretty different. In a double the penetrating leg is not on the same side your head goes. This seems nastier. Will give it a try.
Maybe you mean it's a lesser penalty? I don't know, but I know it's only LEGAL if you transition to it without pause from another technique that was an honest attempt to make fall, or if they attacked and you counter using it without pause.
@faridperez Yeah rules created by a bunch of weak Judoka who feel it more pertinent to weaken the whole art instead of improve their coaching methods. Utter bullshit.
That is a practical throw for the street. The only thing i saw was his head was in position for guillatine choke in guard. Keep your head inside and up.
Every techniques are same difficult to counter...generally.
But if you're good in ouchigari or sumigaeshi, you can "easily" counter this. But if you Easily counter something, there is something wrong about your opponent
i think it's a very bad technique , i've already try it and that doesn't work, you engage to much . if you do that with me i'm sure you gonna fall down as you engage to much . I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT IN FAST MOTION , IN A REAL RANDORI .
to be honest, it does work in randori but its really sloppy and not neat at all however if imnot mistaken you should watch Kate Howey of Britain execute this technique really well youtueb it its amazing
Great set ups and techniques, hard to break that grip thought, I found anyway, I tried it and tries tao toshi, didn't work, ran out of mat, like the technique thougth.

@Makinja That's not Morote gari, though. This is about morote gari. It doesn't matter, either way. They're both illegal now.

fuck, another throw that works well against tall people, disqualified by IJF. Fuck the IJF, conspiring against small people!

Judo COULD be considered an advanced form of wrestling, but it is more technical and less strength based.

This is one of the throws that the IJF has thrown out. Now these guys will have to develop more traditional throws.
