Sega Genesis: Ecco the Dolphin - Undercaves

This game was very hard when I was a teenager. You had to be very attentive to clues & think hard to solve puzzles. It took me a few months to finish this game. It was worth it for the original story, for a game. As far as I remember, most people didn't have the patience to try to finish this game. The sequel 'Ecco: The Tides Of Time' was harder in some ways. I completed that game in about a week. I never used any cheats for any of the games I finished on my Sega Mega Drive.

You know what's weird? That octopus looks a lot like the boss of 2nd level in Mega Turrican.

OMg You make it seem so easy. I had a hell of a time getting past thsi lvl and I did swam slowly past the octopus but ran out of air before I can get to where I needed to go. Ugh and i hated when you have to move that spiraled shell over to the boulders like it makes it impossible for you to swim beneath it and move it upwards because than gravity defines it and falls back down. I think Tides of Time is more fairer than this game.

This game has a promising story line (well maybe if it were a movie), but I find this game to be very difficult.

this game is not that hard...except some places in prehistoric levels and in alien ship

@RabidKanid but i played this game in my childhood.. :) i was stuck in the prehistoric level where i had to steal/take/borrow a part of that dnr. i didnt understood what to do there. :)

@okeyo almost everybody who knows about this game played it in their childhood and most of them didn't get very far. I only understood what to do to not die "and" save the trapped dolphins in my 20's after I tried the game again on my PSP. Even then I personally saw it as being repetitive and didn't want to go any further than the Atlantis level.

@RabidKanid i was about 14 and actually this game is not hard because it depends on understanding the map and exploration with no rush.Thats how i made to the past dnr.

@okeyo and like I said before, you ask anybody and they'll tell you it's hard. doesn't matter if you find "think" it's easy, almost everyone will tell you it's hard.

@RabidKanid Clearly lol... This game is one of the hardest ever, with its sequel "Tides of Time" and games like Kid Chameleon. But note that Tides of Time is much harder than this one ;)
