Great hunt, and it made one hell of a video. How many of those shots hit? Seems like a blast with the chase and all, just gotta be careful it doesn't turn on you. The final shot not only made it an ethical kill, it also kept that thing from gigging a tusk into you, I got a friend's dad with a big scar from one of those things.

obviosly a .454 is not a big enough cartridge. you needed 4 shots to get the work done. .54 should do the trick.

Excellent video sir. One of the few realistic unstaged videos out there. You really showed a good stalk. Yes sometimes that's the way it is. You get a hit and have to follow and have to hit it again. The GOAL for any hunter is to always kill the animal as quickly as possible. I know sometimes there is no choice but this stuff of letting an animal sit and suffer for hours to "expire" cranks my gears. If you know it's wounded, put it out of it's misery.

@mrkiky Either you don't shoot much if at all or you are a rookie to instinct shooting. "Aiming" is just a term. If you feel the shot, you are aiming regardless of what it looks like. This guy was in a standing position with no rest, shooting a very heavy revolver, with a pistol scope that bounces everywhere even on a rest. He made a fairly long shot on the fly. Still managed to run, catch up and kill a wild boar. This man has hunting skill and is well practiced.
