  • nice riding

  • The bike is a 1098R its track fairings,i know the guy who owns it.

  • The bike is a 1198 not a 1098R !!! look at the number on the fairing !!!

  • i have an xt 500 from 1977 and a ducati monster s4r from 2005 and guess what no one looks at my xt 500 i think i am gonna cry!!!!the jap bike are more bang for your buck.i have delivered pizzas for 10 years on my xt 500 and yes i made heaps of money too.but hey its nice to have brakes style and let me tell you its also about what you like to ride...i like em both is that allowed???

  • So the zx10 is about $10g and it hit 164 and climbing fast........................ This FUCKING fartcan is 30 YEARS worth of house payments and it only hit 159 MPH and hoping for a good GUSTOFWIND for a good push. Fuck that I would rather go for whats gonna kick your ass like a ninja would.

  • @kawasakiis2fast4u I agree with you totally. Italian bikes look good, but Japanese bikes crap on them in terms of bang-for-your-buck. My GPz900R cost me $2000 (Aussie dollars) and it shat all over my neighbours Ducati (cost him $15,000).

  • @CBR11X right, I think you don't have corners... while ply the feeling of the road a ducati could give is the difference, I enjoy much more riding ducati than japan bikes because ducati has character, on the contrary japan bikes are very similar. But you are right they cost a lot!

  • @mammamia00 Well I was there and you weren't mate, there were plenty of corners and the GPz900R shat all over his 900SS. The point is, even though my neighbour's Ducati' is a lovely bike, it cost 7.5X more than my old bike but it definitely wasn't 7.5X better. Peace

  • No matter what I do, after an eternity of time, I still hate the sound of Ducati's. This bike is still a fast bike with spectacular brakes & suspension though.

  • hope those guys were takin notes at 1:53

  • 1098 & 1198 are two seperate bikes, either like you said they have the fairing of a 1198 on the 1098 (but i doubt it...) or the description is wrong and the person who uploaded doesnt know his bikes :P

@Joonsuk88 - i havnt assessed both videos like you have but the desmond is most definatly quicker than the 1098, maybe not by alot, but it is faster. All i can say is... The bike is only as good as the person riding it. Dont rely on a video of someone riding a bike, the biker might be crap (:

  • It looks like the bike has written 1198 on it. Did they use an 1198 body kit or something? Or is the 1198 the same thing as an 1098?

  • is it just me or does it have "1198" on it's raceglass?

  • I painstakingly compared this video to the Desmosedici one. I compared the two bikes' speeds at all the turns, chicanes, and straights.. I even did an estimate of the lap times (around 1:47 for both). The verdict -- 1098R is just as fast as the Desmosedici.

I'm impressed with how fast the 1098R is on the tracks. Someone please analyze the vids like I did and back me up on this.

  • Look at the lap times. The 1098R was one tenth faster than the Des

  • LoL I'm a putz. All I had to do was look at the lap times.

  • Epic winnnn...

  • Passed those other guys like they were tied to a stump!!

  • The first one let him pass... See him holding out his hand?

  • Michael u lucky guy :) U get to ride all these great bikes on the track... and dont have to fix it when u crash :))))
