I want to know why it worked fine for years, then they update it and it crashes no matter what settings I have it on. YOU don't fix what ain't broke dipshits.
well i installed Half Life on my Computer after the Installation i tryed to play but sudently It crashes sayed HL2.exe stop working.After that my Desktop icons was like a cube sry for the Mistake:(
i have half life 2 part 2, and i got to this part, after the 'lowlife' chapter, when you're coming out of that little subway station or whatever, and its the 2nd time to see daylight in the game. You come out and see a strider, and hear dr. kliener from a t.v. screen.
the problem i have is that the game shuts down when i go to break down the wood/metal sheet wall thats blocking my way, the game craches, so i cant get past that part.
I have a problem which is this and I dont know if others had this problem before: I start my computer. When everything is on as Anti-virus, Steam. I click on Steam to open up Games then I double-click on Half-life 2 and it comes a window which says: preparing Half-life 2.. . Then later it freezes and then reboots. Can someone help me? Do I need to download CSS?

I got that Same Problem i have Install Half Life 2 i was tryed start new Game but it Crashes and my Icons on Desktop was in like Cube

my hl2 worked for a few days and now when i start it, it says failed to initialize modules or something

lol i got the same problem when it loaded the train stain map and it shows Half Life 2 then i crashes there and something like pop up says
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error"
"hl2.exe error"

update your drivers or reinstall video card and turn down settings, they might help
