  • Thanks for posting. This is just great. How the "good old days" are fading in reality, and surviving in memory.

  • It's awesome that Lawrence Welk's son dated Dianne one of the sisters, which landed them a spot on the show.

  • @rubbing2001 This is so true, but you have to have tremendous talent to stay there !!!

  • también son mis recuerdos, no solo para los anglo parlantes...

  • I've read that Alice Lon (pictured here with the aviator) was fired by Welk after showing too much leg while sitting on a piano.

  • Those were the good old days when morals were high and a mans word was his bond! The Lennon sisters is about the only thing we still have of those great times!

  • Why is this video "no longer available" ?? What happened? Can it be made available again? Thanks...

  • Thanks Shirlgirlwhirl for posting this great clip. That is a very cute performance of The Watusi at the end of the clip. Do any Lennon Sisters fans know if the girls recorded Watusi on an album or as a single?

  • What a great version of the Orlons song

  • I had cut outs and I always pretended that I was Janet. One day my little sister ripped them up. I was so very sad. This is a wonderful video clip that brings back such fabulous memories of Saturday nights. My Father would bring Granny down to our house for dinner, so that we could enjoy the Lawrence Welk Show together. It was a family affair. Thanks for the great memories!

  • Janet was always my favorite! They have those paper dolls on ebay and on the lennon sisters website! Weren't they just wonderful? They had an innocence and beauty I don't think we'll ever see again!

  • I've watched this when I was one years old. 12 years ago.....now 13 years old. Akward aint it?

  • Hey Simpre, I watched the show when it was originnaly telecast. How awkward is that? I donn't feel that old. =Stefan=

  • Yes, it was wonderful growing up with this wholesome and quality entertainment. We are fortunate to have it captured on video to enjoy forever!

  • I am so glad this is here. I am glad I grew up with such things on TV. I ADORED The Lennon Sisters and still do.
