@SamKabobs I'm not too familiar with the Homeworld universe, but SC1 starts with the Zerg invading Chau Sara (before the game starts) and Mar Sara (first missions). SC2 starts with battles against the Dominion, but the Zerg show up soon in Mission 3 on Mar Sara, again. Also, you could argue that Tassadar's Protoss fleet, sent to purify the infested Terran colonies, also invaded Terran space.

@Subspacer15 Well, in the invasion of char in WoL, the troops were being slaughtered, so it'd make sense to establish ground control ASAP, the first mission on char shows how hard the dominion get's owned.
