Headphonic! Cheers from the U.S.! Great question, I don't do much with silk screen, and like your competitors I've moved into doing more vinyl as well. But to answer your question, yes in creating the transfer you print directly onto the coated side of the transfer paper. Mostly these are "plastisol" transfers, having a plastic type feel to them. The subliminal hot split is actually the softest transfer, to soften the others I put in the dryer for a few minutes.
The most common word that you are using is 'transfer' and i can't understand anything !

If you're going to use heat then yes you have to use transfer paper.
