  • A wonderful scene, from an iconic film. Thanks for posting.

  • Clara Bow's new dress looks like the one I bought in Ann Taylor last month! o_O I knew there was style recycling, but I didn't think they recycled all the way back from the 1920s

  • haha, I've just heard about Clara and I really like her! She is so lovely!

And you know what, my name is also Clara and I'm also born on the 29th July =P

  • That kid was one lucky bastard...

  • TV Tropes brought me here!

  • My update to my post of last year :Wow,what a bunch of overly touchy brunettes etc.I can only laugh since it was a tongue-in-cheek statement in the first place. I wouldn't change the fact that I'm(always have been) a natural blonde, just to please some possible insecure,and/or jealous females.

FYI, I adore Clara Bow,and normally haven't any problems with dark haired(etc,)

until this silly "thumbs down"thing. lol

  • @4MaryAnna To be honest, your statement was a pretty reductive stereotype. I'm not sure why taking issue with it means that 'women' (even though men have commented) are being insecure/jealous.

  • @lilanma Ok then,I'll add the men to my comment too. Hope ya'all fell better about me including the guys. This whole thing is silly, the way you people out there dish out your "thumbs down" over a bit of joking around in the first place. Jeez.

  • what a charming clip! love clara even more. really wants to see 'it'

  • When she started cutting the dress, I instantly thought of Mean Girls, when everyone cuts holes in their tank top.

  • i guess if i saw a random baby in my house too i would have no choice but to kiss those cheeks :)

  • You know what's depressing? Even that baby is probably dead by now.

  • I simply ADORE that baby in this movie!

  • I mention Bow in The Celebrity Song.

  • I'm a girl, and just like any other girl, no one really looks like her anymore. Oh, those were the days. Haha.

  • absolutely stunning

  • TY for posting this. Love this movie and Clara, was a doll!! She makes me smile, no one like her, will never be--just love her!!!

  • I've quickly become a huge fan of Clara's, and this clip perfectly portrays why. So fun and quirky in a very lovable way.

@4MaryAnna - And the rest of us can't help it if gentlemen of a higher calibre expect more than a particular hair color from their women. We'll all be greys in the end.

  • I hope you expect more from a woman,since most of that color(not mine)comes from a bottle

  • I'm a gentleman who prefers brunettes, yah boo! :P

  • so,who cares

  • @4MaryAnna You'll be interested to know that Clara's the one who gets her man, not the blonde! :-)

  • @lilanma I know,I've seen this before. What would make you think that fact might interest me?

  • @4MaryAnna Just the blonde comment, lol

  • my grannie was a youngster in the 1920s and she used to make all her dresses at home for the dances.

  • there's not doubt ..you can see why she was #1 at the box office 1927-28. She was so real when everyone else was so fake.

  • She is lovely <3

  • Beautiful! This is only my opinion, but I really think that Calra is more beautiful than Marilyn Monroe. Just being honest. Calra is NATURALLY beautiful :).

  • Gorgeous Clara, thanks for sharing Neil x

  • has anyone more lovely ever existed?

  • @WhenWeReside

Well, yes... but she WAS adorable.

  • No!

  • She is so adorable with that baby, & the baby seems to just love her, what great big smiles! They both are too adorable, thanks for this!!! I love Clara!!

  • love her at 2:45

  • Got nothing to wear for dinner? Get a friend to help you mutilate the dress you're wearing. Accessorize with fake

flowers and a wrap; gypsy chic in minutes.

  • shes so beautiful

  • She is one of my idols! :)

  • Clara have some remarkable drive from whitin her personality. 80 years and still none like her.

  • I loved this clip so much, I watched the entire film last night. What beauty and personality! Clara really has "IT."

  • Instant high fashion!! i love it!! What happens next?? is there a part two?!

  • I've posted one other clip from later in the movie, but if you really want to know what comes next rent or buy the movie. I'm only trying to increase awareness of Clara Bow and this fun flick, not broadcast the entire film.

  • What a talent!! Beautiful girls like Clara were a dime a dozen...but she stood above all because her real beauty came from within.

Truly incredible when one considers just how dysfunctional was her childhood in NYC.

After almost 80 years...Clara still inspires.

  • my favorite scene! she's so cute

  • she was realy gorgeous!<3

  • what a beauty she was.

  • i loved this movie!
