  • You are a beautiful human being, I'm only 15, and hearing your ideas and beliefs about things way bigger than us is a relief. Your style is just raw, no cookie-cutter shape. I don't give a damn about million dollar artists who draw amazing faces of people who don't show a story. This video is art right here, thank you so much for showing everyone that Art isn't a profession or something you have to be excellent at to spend money on. Art is our souls. <3

  • hello suzi! i need your help, how do you call the tool you use for melting the wax and where can i buy one? thank you.

  • @ianbernal that is an encaustic art stylus tool :)

  • hello susi! i need your help, what is the name of the iron you use to melt the wax and where can i buy one? thank you!!

  • My cats name is Poopie face. :)

  • great video!

my cat's nickname is Poopie and i'm sure he'd call your Poo Poo if he can have her number. =^..^=

  • I love your strategies like picking out a RANDOM word from the dictionary and laying it out in your art journal ART IS FUN!

  • Wow, you're awesome. Thanks for these videos they're quite inspiring. Awesome detail, and quite educational. Pretty much what I am looking for. I don't really do too much art stuff, but I will start soon enough. It's the education that gives the motivation to pursue what is out there, and I certainly don't have too much motivation. But, I think it'll change. Hopefully. Thanks for the inspiration. Awesome art.

    All the best.

  • i don't think reality shows are real too !

hehe , well thanks because your such a qood inspiration :)

  • I love these videos! YAY!

  • I love crayons!

How is it that you can make everything you say make absolute sense?

  • Thanks, Suzi and Poo!!

  • i love that you use crayons...i just got a HUGE 3tier, 150 count crayon box...and i love them!!!

  • I was just talking about something similar! That's freaky.

  • Beautiful and insightful.

  • You know Suzi ..I never thought about layouts.I never have problems with where to begin.May be that makes my art messy , but my life is more messy so i feel at ease with messy art.Thank you for the information , and definitely I will try it on a day in which i feel more grounded.

  • all of your videos inspire me sooo much.

    everyone loves suziblu.

  • High and Low horizons always seem the opposite to me. (depending on content) But usually the low horizon make it seem I'm way up high looking down at something. Or looking "up" to the high line. Just an interesting thought about how different people interpret things.

  • oh thats such a lovely way to look at it. I want to make a page now with that in mind.

    =^..^=

  • Lol I didn't know you were a gamer. That was a PS2 right? Lovely video by the way.

  • eh not a good one cause I could never afford games PLUS im spaztik and awkward. Now I just use it to watch dvds in. But I did spend oh the last 15 years cuddled on the couch watching endless hours of cute boys playing. I love games.

  • lol

  • I love how you just showed those really simple concepts of layout. It never occurred to me! One of my BIGGEST inhibitions is feeling like the page is so BIG (even though I only work on A5 hehe) and empty and where do I start. I'm going to try and work with one of those layout ideas on my next page and hopefully not feel so intimidated because I'll have a point to focus on!

  • You're such a lovely lady, and your art is amazing, as well.

Thank you for oodles of inspiration! =D

  • I share your opinion... Is that a Sega Genesis?!? at the End there, lovin it :)

  • "ba ba bababaaaa ba ba baaaaa"? lol, that is sooooo New Jersey(ish)!

  • In other words, nobody has a monopoly on the definition of morality. How about Saturday night? Because if you're gonna hate yourself in the morning - you can always sleep late...

    :)

  • why do you call your cat pooh pooh?

  • You r amazing!!!!!

    More-or-less ;)

  • sometimes more, sometimes less, right?

  • Its difficult to balance scales.

    The glare can be blinding;)

  • why don't Poo Poo answer when i call him on the phone i ain´t no cat

  • Poo Poo doesnt have thumbs! I must get him a head set.

  • this...

    brings smiles to my face

    so A+ for you. :D

  • I love your videos and your finished work is so amazing. You're so gifted and I'm so glad to have found you ... makes my day when there's a new suzibluetube vid to be watched.

  • yay suzzzzeeeee!

  • i wanna call poo!

  • make pooh a response video!

I will have live pooh cam up starting next week.

    POOH LOVE!

  • cool you have a ps2. Do you play often?

  • I have ps2 and I never play! Im hoping to have more time once the semester is over. my fav game is Katamari

  • This is a great video Suzi......love your philosophy and art! Your layout at the top of the page looked awesome.........and it was a first for me to see anyone use that melting iron to iron crayola crayons! Cool!

    Love, Violette

  • Thanks Violette =^_^=

  • Your videos are so great ...and your vision is too! Thanks for your inspiration. Merry, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  • Happy Holidays to you too!

I want to do something special video wise for new years eve. what shall we do?

  • Oh! Oh! Do a year in review vid! Pleeeaase! Something of a rewind, a reverse, a reminiscence... make it romantic something juicy, something honest... something that is meant to encourage/inspire. And be sure to add a little of that global crunching you mentioned. ;-)

  • oooh ooh oooh year in review EXCELLENT idea!

  • what is a crucifix horizon??

  • both horizon lines and the crucifix are different types of layouts. A horizon line is a line that goes straight across your page, and you work in the two areas separated by the line. a crucifix is a cross - and you work in each of the squares the cross makes. Does that make more sense?

  • i do all of my work in crayons...but i wish i had paints...

  • Buy them! You deserve them!

    Buy Golden Fluid Acrylics.

  • okay, thank you!!

  • suzi blu you have helped me do things I've been meaning to do for ages! this weekend I made my own clothes and made some flowers out of shampoo bottle plastic! My life book (much better than journal)is a bit neglected though.

  • ooooh did you make a video? Id love to see the clothes! I just bought a sewing machine, I want to learn how to make cloth dolls.

  • Im a big fat technophobe I dont really live in 2007! Im in my own world of fields and buttons and bits of wire. you bought a sewing machine and a mac! you're really going for it! have fun making dolls. And put them in puppet theatres!for pooh!

  • Did you heat up that spatula before going over the crayon? I like the idea of "life book" as well; it is unpretentious. I like your realness.

  • It is a quilting iron.

  • Whoa was that an electric blending knife???!!! :O

  • It is called a Quilting Iron, and makes wax melt!

  • Ooooh thats cool :)

  • LifeBook. I LIKE IT! You make wanna go into my deserted space upstairs and create. Morality. I never thought of it in the terms you presented here. It all comes back to love, self love and love of others, doesn't it? LOVE ya!

  • ooh deserted space all your own...

  • My daughter Majal and I have been preparing for craft fairs the last two months. I am spoiled, but will show you my sacred art space soon, I promise. And congrats on making the Mac work! So gonna copy your star, hee hee!

  • twinkle twinkle little star...lalalalaloveu

btw is that a playstation u have there?

  • Playstation is my dvd player!

  • YAAY POOOOO!!!!

  • YAAY DRUELLAH!!!

  • Another great video. I really like this one. You inspire me. Thank you.

  • : D

  • You really make a big dirrfernce in my life suzie, I just wanted you to know that you are changing the world.

  • Stick with me I'll change your world Baby!

    (wink, wink)

    =^_^=

  • The page is where you start and where ever you put your horizon line. It's what you decide. Then again one may section areas off or start with shapes instead. Maybe these varies objects you put onto paper are symbolic of your morals perhaps. But what ever you decide in your life. It will always be your decision in the end. We are all like that as well.

  • Nice vlog again, thanks!

Although I don't mind much how to name the journal since it is a catalystic thing and, indeed, highly personal. Good though, that you encourage everyone to keep one and to be selfconscience about being 'worthy' enough to fill it with whatever you choose to fill it with.

  • that is so absolutely it. for many years i bought beautiful journals but my thoughts never felt worthy enough to take up the pages.

  • Thank you so much Suzi. I look so forward to your videos, they are always so helpful in more ways than you realize.

I am really looking forward to Pooh Cam. He's such Poobly-doo. I wish I could teach my cat, Pekoe, to use the phone, then he could chat with Pooh, talk about cat things.

I am sending you good wishes and positive thoughts concerning your decision regarding school, and in your efforts to persue your dreams - whichever direction that takes you.

  • Oh if cats could use the phone!

  • You have amazing lifework. This is one of my favorite entries. Along with the 'lifebook' I also like your video editing on this one. :D

  • It will get better. Im determined now.

  • Loved this video! I wish you would do a video on how to make a video.....wouldn't I love to make a video outlining my journalling! Great work! Very professional...with music....glitter star at the end! WOW

  • what do you want to know about making a video?

    email me.

  • Suzi, I'm still working in my art jour....oops I mean life book. I LOVED this new video. How right you are about morality. 5 BIG red stars.

  • How wonderful right, for so many people to begin to document their lives visually, and in words. Just us, regular people, daring to believe we are something more.

Im glad you are doing this too.

  • Where's our poopie video? I demand a Poopie Video! :)

The Internet has empowered and freed the world.

  • Poopie video coming. as is LIVE POOH CAM.

  • The new video is intense. Is this the political side/or teacher side of SuziBlu?

  • Um...ha.

I am way more political than I ever will be a teacher. Which is why I quit school.

  • you quit school? like recently? THAT school?

  • oh ya, you did! (now that i read all the comments :)) So what ARE your dreams?

  • I don't see the political in your images but I haven't seen all you do. Or all what you think about.

  • I Love Life Book! I got my new one just yesterday!! So white,so yummy, so ready to fill it with dreams and beauty... Thank you so much Suzie! (: Have a great week!! XOXO.

  • Yay Monica! Get your life in it.

  • Pain can kill you. Beginning is with the first step. Process is important and it evolves. The end is never what it started from. What's for lunch!?

Do you make art from poems? Other people's?

  • I like that. making art from poems. I would like to illustrate the fairy tales of Oscar Wilde.

  • Life Book! Woohoo! :|!

    Dr. Suze? (kidding)

  • I like Goddess Suze better!

  • Life Book! I love that! So much more personal! Great video Suzi! And Amen to crayons! Now I want one of those tools! xo NancyB

  • Easy to get nancy, online or at your local craft store. Its a Quilting Iron and costs around 29.00 Well worth it.

  • I'm with you on Life Book thing. It makes it more free of form. Great stuff!

  • life book is a great name!

    kitty :)

  • KITTY KISSES!

    =^_^=

  • I AM SO GRATEFUL TO FIND YOU!!!!! : )

I have been lurking around watching a few other videos and not commenting...really b/c I couldn't wait to get to the next one. : ) I really appreciate your work.

Peace and Blessings to You, Angie

  • Thanks Angie. Lurk away : )

  • I finally subscribed to your videos after getting addicted to them. Love your art, your soul and your contagious positive outlook. It is great to have you back!

  • Hopefully they will start to get a lot better soon, now that Ive quit school to follow my dreams!

Thank you for subscribing. I am behind on my thank you letters. I will be caught up by the end of the week.

  • Absolutely wonderful.

By the way, you've inspired my Christmas present to my boyfriend.

I'm making him and art love journal...almost everyday I make a little drawing about however I feel about our relationship...it's coming along nicely...and it's all because of YOU!

    Thank you my dear.

    *hugs*

  • That is sUch a wonderful idea.

Someday I would like to do that for someone.

  • I enjoyed this very much! I hope you feel better very soon!

  • Thank you sherri =^_^=

  • Me straight to you... I love it. Well done as always chica.

  • chica smiling : D

  • where do i begin!??!?!? great video suzi!

  • Make a line and draw above it!

Open a book randomly and pick a word if you are stuck for subject matter.

  • Oh! And I forgot to ask, were you melting wax over the crayon drawing or were you like, melting the crayon wax itself? I couldn't tell.

  • I ran the iron over the crayon to mush it a bit. I dont always like to do that because it looses depth (from shading) and mixes all the colors together - but its a nice effect sometimes. Try it.

  • That's really cool. What is the iron called? Can you find it at any craft store, do you think?

  • You can get that in the quilting section of the craft store... :)

  • thank you sharichstan!

  • I love your ramblings and how your voice cracked when you said "on your page". lol! Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for the inspiration. I needed a little guidance tonight so I am also gonna do the high horizon line. :)

  • Cracks in my voice echoing cracks in my art and the creases that life causes. right? Life shows. and thats a good thing.

Try the horizon line. Its interesting to put all the bulk way up there. It forces you out of your usual routine.

  • You give me a new surge of artistic inspiration! I love all of your ideas.

  • : )

  • i agree that life book is a better name because it implies that the book in itself is a work of art rather than just memoirs to oneself.

  • It also gives us permission to just let it all hang out - that not every page has to be perfected.

  • i like life book too. because the one i've started is more about things that happen in my life rather than politcal statements and deep thoughts.and i really love how you started the video - randomly chose a word from the dictionary, defined it for yourself and created something from it. very very cool. that could be "an assignment" - to define a random word, ur own thoughts and perceptions in art and words. :) hmm idk sorry this was so long I LOVE U!!

  • I have problems starting so I like grabbing a word to get me going. Try it and try to apply it to what is happening in your life.

  • I din't even think of this. What a great life bok idea! Pick a word out of the dictionary and journal it. Beautiful! Thanks for YOUR inspiration too!

  • I love watching your videos because they leave me very encouraged! :0) Plus I love your art and your ideas!

  • Awesome, Im glad!

  • Aww, pooh is waiting for a call. That's sweet.

  • Pooh needs love more than the average kitty.

  • i thought i knew what moral meant but i had to look it up yep i did i knew what it meant

did you get a new art jorunal. its pretty i like it ive got to get a new one othis year i get one every year an none of them ever fit its like if someone else gets one for you it dont have the meaning of finding it maybe its just me. I like the star you have added at the end i wish it everytime i see your new videos but only the first time

    Hi Suziblu

  • Its just a regular hard bound sketchbook. I vow to FINISH IT as I am always buying journals and starting new ones. Thats a good idea. to give it a deadline. like 3 months. that sounds reasonable.

  • thats easy for someone as talneted as you youz got talent with the great stuff. ive gone through some deep creative blocks where i could get anything out. how many journals do you have about

OH I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER i think you said you were sick a the start of this video

  • Suzi - I love how uninhibited you are with your words, your encouragement, your drawings and your positivity. You are doing a wonderful, fun, cool thing. :)

  • Thank you.

  • what holy crap i thought she was 20 something wow i cant believe you i dont at all. If she is she is a godess not in the amazing way but in that but more in a magical an magically beautiful way

  • Go Suzi!

  • I get down for seemingly no reason at all so we can get thru it together.

  • I missed you Suzi! Thanks for this! I'm glad you're back. The new puter will get easier with time, like anything... Hang in there; you did great! :o)

  • eh. thanks. kind of low energy but Ive been sick.

  • Feel better, hon!

  • isnt it cool how you can send cards with your videos i sent this as a christmas card thank you su for giving us your gifts you are so whats needed im glad to be in a smaller world with you i tend to think too much about the whole worlds problems art takes me to the good stuff im getting my crayons out for my life book acrylics are too harsh crayons give the softer look thank you

  • no i havent seen the xmas card thing! Ive been so frantic trying to figure out the new computer. I must see!

  • I love you Suzi!!

  • I love you too!

  • I just loved this! I feel you on the crunching down of the world...loved the message and the art...screw galleries and SHINE!

  • yay!

  • Im not thrilled with the compression. I dont get what Im doing wrong.

  • I love your star that travels across the page at the end. Is that from your mac?

  • yeah. so much is different though that its still very awkward.

  • Well Done!
