The NHL blows hard now compared to what it was 15 years ago! You touch a guy now and its a penalty. Yes its faster, but in my opinion its not nearly as entertaining to watch and players are getting hurt far more in todays NHL.

i agree, it's too bad that hockey is the only sport left for men that WANT to be men, act like men, believe in strength of character, standing up for teammates and that sports are played all out BECAUSE they get paid huge to take that risk! Football has turned into a pussy sport with all of the new penalties and whiny sports post game commentators shaking their heads at hits that should be FINE. Can't even follow through when you hit the QB anymore, pathetic.

Hard to believe Chelios is still kicking in the AHL. He's the only guy still playing who was in this series, after Keith Carney retired in 2009.

@jonasnight gosh i cant agree more. it seems like its gettin a little more iron in it these days, tho. It will never be ol 90's 80's blood and guts (like hockey was ment to be) again, but its getting better. You keep guys like John Scott and Koci and Charra in the league, they'll be able to keep old time hockey in the game. There must always be an enforcer in my opinion.
