  • I find it interesting how often there were simultaneous boss battles.

  • Was this a race to see which person could beat whichever game first???

  • @ssj4majinmatt No he played all of the games at the same time with one input on the keyboard. In other words, whatever he puts into one game, megaman does the same thing in the other. It's a TAS, which means the player used saves states and reloaded them and edited it heavily.

  • @cramernjen Wait how could he be playing all 4 games at once? I'm carefully watching the movements of all 4 megamans. If my calculations are correct, 1 guy is playing Megaman 3 and 4 at the same time, and another guy is playing megaman 5 and 6 at the same time.

  • @ssj4majinmatt Well, according, to TAS.org he is doing all with one input. I guess that means he is using only the keyboard, but he uses different parts of it.

  • @cramernjen it also says that played in 39.06 by Baxter and Angerfist. So i was assumeing two people, two games each person. I don't know ughhhhh

  • @ssj4majinmatt I believe one person did a portion of it then transferred the save to another. That sort of thing happens all the time with TASes. One person gives up, and the other takes over.

  • and i don't mean this shit as a bad thing. Most fucking impressive thing i've seen in my entire life.

  • i would of liked to hear commentary for this shit

  • Someone should try to make a ultimate doom, wolfstein 3d, quake and Duke Nukem 3D quadtas

  • proof that classic games aren't about skill, but about memorization.

  • @Taterzz You say that like new games are any better. I'd argue in many cases, the AI is about luck and not skill.

  • @Kysgarq i feel ya bro, classic games demand easily 10 times more skill than these new games

  • @_@

    4 brains!!!

    Is Fucking CRAZY!

  • @SireAshtar

Its not 4 brains. But its even more crazy.

The EXECT same recorded combination of controller keypresses is producing the 4 videos.

  • love the audio

  • 3,6,5,4.

That's the order of when the games get to the Presented by Capcom screen.

  • What's up at 1:35 in Megaman 4? Megaman is just walking against a wall for a few seconds

  • @JustinEvitable80 Because he has to move the other Mega Man's forward, obviously.

  • 7:58 On Mega Man 5: The super arrow is too super for the game to handle.

  • MEGA-CEPTION!

Watched it from start to finish.

    Liked & favorited.

  • Chuck Norris can do this in real time

  • First Stage Mega Man 5: 1st Mega Man 6: 2nd Mega Man 3: 3rd Mega Man 4: 4th Winner: Mega Man 5 2nd Stage Results Mega Man 5: 1st Mega Man 3: 2nd Mega Man 6: 3rd Mega Man 4: 4th Winner: Mega Man 5 3rd Stage Results Mega Man 5: 1st Mega Man 3: 2nd Mega Man 6: 3rd Mega Man 4: 4th Winner: Mega Man 5 4th Stage Results Mega Man 5: 1st Mega Man 3: 2nd Mega Man 6: 3rd Mega Man 4: 4th
  • I didn't know Goro played Mega Man.

  • thank goodness for stereo sound. Makes this much more watchable

  • Now wait a minute. Slow down. Which one is Megaman 4?

  • @BlazeHero005 Mega Man 4 would be the one in the upper right corner.

  • jesus fucking christ!

  • I didn't know God was into Megaman games.

  • @LadyKokoa lol

  • 1st Place: Megaman 6

    2nd Place: Megaman 3

    3rd Place: Megaman 5

    4th Place: Megaman 4

  • I love the abnormally loud and clear cutting Protoman Theme.

  • Are you a new type?

  • MY EARS!!!

  • Ha ha, awesome.

  • holy mother of what

  • Recommended you watch this video with earphones. I can easily tell apart the 4 audio tracks doing so.

  • wat

  • Mega Man 4...

    YOU'RE TOO SLOW!

  • Comment removed

  • @EdmacZ Half of MM4's footage was the healthbars filling up.

  • @JaxOf7 Lolwut.

    :VVVV

  • @EdmacZ witch one is megaman 4

  • @EdmacZ

You can move as fast in 4 as in the other games. No one cares about the screen transition and the health bar fills.

  • you just destroyed my childhood in less than an hour. i couldn't beat any of these games when i was a kid...and you do 4 at the same time. tool assisted or not thats still impressive.

  • Are you a wizard

  • You're a superman?

  • mega man 3 :D I used to play the shit out of that game when I wuz like 5. man that's 20 years ago. talk about fast moving time.

  • this is like 4 player mega man. Awesome!

  • Chuck Norris can do every Mega Man game at the same time without getting hit and only using the Mega Buster.

  • @OrkTv Mega Man plays Chuck Norris video games.

  • i love the fact that the encoder used stereo sound - makes it tons easier to watch the different parts of the screen - the encode for the new Mario quad TAS does the same thing

  • even better with headphones!

  • lol 14:39 double victory!

  • @ROFLOLAZERS I'd say triple, ha.

  • Even at super slow speeds and thousands of savestates, this is by far one of the most impressive things I've ever seen on youtube. Good job you two.

  • An octopus on speed with 8 eyeballs must have played this.

  • That was 40 mins. of awesome!

  • 45 minutes of ear rape

  • @TheShorty312 Eye rape too.

  • i know megaman's ass is hurting from all that sliding xD

  • you are the multi-TASking! see what I did thar?

  • wth. How is this possible

  • I couldn't keep up with it. :D

  • That was awesome, but I had a hard time just keeping track of all four...

  • Dnload the audio from this clip at tubepull doht cohm.

  • What was happening on the Megaman 4 screen at 1:34 to 1:38? Instances like that happen quite a bit in this TAS.

  • @uscdrew1 Seems like the players are using the wall there to progress through the other 3 games while letting the MM4 screen take a respite.

  • @uscdrew1 It's because they're playing all 4 games with the same input.

  • hahaha strange enough rhat I like this one.cool..

  • Megaman 5 is actually the longest the the 6. But if you TAS it, it goes faster than other TAS's because of an item you get after Star man that enables you to skip large sections of a stage at a time.

  • 1st: Megaman 3 (ya credits count)

2nd: Megaman 6 (it was so clsoe to winning 1st)

3rd: Megaman 5 (it was going super fast at first but then it started to slow down, it was also the least hearable one)

4th: Megaman 4 (4th megaman 4..get it xD jk yea it was going a little slower than others but its my 2nd favorite megaman game in the series :P )

  • Awesome. Megaman 6 is the best :D

  • Hahahah@14:36

  • Mega Man 4 is slower on loading time and the stages are fucking long.

  • Who else jus' stared blankly at the very center of the video and tried to soak in all 4 screen at once?

... Only to almost go blind and get a fuckin' migraine... And any TAS to gimme a migraine wins in my book.

  • you owe me money for brain surgery.

  • This is mindblowingly complex... I wonder how many complications the author(s) came across while playing this one?

  • 14:30 Trisplosion!

Wow. I guess this video invalidates any arguments I got in with my friends as a kid regarding which Mega Man games were superior. They really were all the exact same F'ing game.

Thanks Baxter & Yashar for trisploding one of my last, sacred, childhood memories the internet/Robot Chicken hasn't already forcefully buttloved.

And Capcom? I'll take my refund for every single Mega Man game (but one) in a cashier's check. K? Thx.

  • OWWWW MY EARS

  • Which one to look at?

  • Around 20:15 to 20:17 sounds like an RM blew up? but no RM are on the screen. Whats up with that?

  • abused a glitch in mm3

  • @alf717 It's the sound of MM blowing up, not a RM. in MM3, when you approach a spike at a screen transition, and hit the exact pixel of the spike as you change screens, the audio is fooled into thinking MM hit the spike for insta-death, when in fact he does not blow up. It happens again at 21:02

  • I know what is a TAS speedrun but this... Damn, those 2 guys were on crack, not only find this idea but to actually make it...

  • Woah...O_O

  • This must be Pein playing Mega Man. True power of the Rinnegan

  • Just great. Halfway through this movie I vomited all over my desk and passed out.

Two days later I wake up, I'm blind in one eye and I have dementia.

    Fuck.

I can't even find my way home anymore.

  • I thought YouTube has a 10 minute cap on video length? How did you get THIS up here?

  • 5:40-5:43 mm3 and mm5 did exact same stuff lol

  • 2:05-2:28 top left.

That's what i call TAS, short for tool assisted sex.

  • I am in awe

  • O.O

  • jeez

  • Comment removed

  • This.

    Is the best thing ever.

  • BUGUSER!!!!!!

  • 1:23 bugy? I've played the game, and it wasn't so!!!

  • God damn

  • too much going on too fast.....Head...having....seizure......

  • Lol. overlapping sounds is priceless.

  • This is the most amazing speed run video ever.

  • My favorite Mega Man game is the one in the corner.

  • Think i just had a seizure..

  • This is the sickest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

  • 27:20 - 29:15

So, Dr. Wily was the mastermind behind it all... every time!!! Le gasp!

  • From author comments...

    Techniques

    ...

Lag is a key factor that made it possible to do certain actions without interfering with other games. The game will freeze sometimes for a frame, and during this frame, no input will be accepted for that game. During this frame, we are able to stuff like stopping a jump, shooting, or pressing start to go to the menu, without affecting the game where the lag occured. We sometimes deliberately created lag by...

  • This is far too awesome to exist. I demand recompense for being subjected to such awesomeness.

  • this is insane!

  • You Got: Cross - Eyed!

  • This is just freakin INSANE!

  • Just because you put four awesome background music tracks together doesn't mean you'll get one super awesome music track.

  • How fucking long did it take to make this?

  • I can't watch this. Wow. It's just too much.

  • Get equipped with:

    Godly Multitasking!

  • You fool you can't close pandora's box once it is open! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Ear rape!

  • why do i feel like im suddenly really bad at these games?

  • @sabremasterzero cuz baxter and angerfist pwn at TAS

  • HEADDACHE !!!!!

  • several pauses on only one thing at a time and a few times where one megaman was running and jumping while another was on a ladder.

  • i lasted 30 seconds then my head blew up

  • Its the sort of TAS you have to watch 4 times over to fully understand it.

  • Haha, there was several times that MM3 got a "solo" where it could optimize its input over the rest because they were all in sync on their boss encounters and finishes.

  • 8-bits music overload!

  • ZOMG MY ADD BURNS!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • WTF? 4in1 in 1 video Oh my God O.O

  • How did you merge all four videos together like that? How did this work with the audio?

  • This is...quite confusing xD

  • I noticed with Hard Man on Mega Man 3, you killed the guy in like 5 seconds. Is there some kind of pause trick like the first one? It seemed like you were just rapid firing into him during his invulnerability and he was taking damage anyway.

  • This brings Muti-Tasking to a whole new level.

  • @OrangMario Yeah. It's hard to see four Games on one time.

  • @OrangMario

    I call it...Mega tasking.

  • Get Equipped with

    Coordination Hold!

  • I feel realy dumb right now. O_o

  • How did he do that?

  • I KNEW 4 would be completed last! That one is SO ridiculously long! I hated how much time it took to beat it!

  • The god of multitasking has arisen !!

    also, musical ear-rape

  • Pretty sure ANYTHING is possible given 129,820 tries!

  • Still a damn good job, though. Laughed out loud at 2:05. Megaman III beats Gemini man with the R. coil and 1 pixel of life left.

  • it sounds like a damn arcade wif all this music and shit lol

  • This is a miracle... Man, I've got headache before the first boss (on 4 games) could be beaten.

NOTE: They say women can pay attention up to 10 tasks at a time. Could they play those 4 games a time? :P

  • Why were the penguin machines in around 1:20 glitched?

  • @KingScar06

hes using glith to skip protoman earlier, so correc gfx dont load, making penguin glithched

  • It looks like a frantic race for their lives between Mega Mans if you watch 'em one by one :p

  • wow thats cool

  • nice

  • Damn, I had put 5 bucks on Megaman 5.

Should of put 6 on Megaman 6 X_X

  • This must have taken FOREVER to make.

  • This has to be one of the most nostalgic and surreal experiences of my life...

also had no idea Gemini was weak vs his own weapon lolz

  • An easy way to do this would be to hit pause when one of the games is at a part where you can't pause, then beat that game. Then do the same with the next three. In that way you could do a perfect run, without tool assist.

  • Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose?

  • Dare u to do a 100% no damage run... lol

  • This should have more views

  • I agree, way too much awesomeness packed into one video.

  • Does anyone know how to play more games at once it won`t work by me

  • Humankind cannot take that much awesome in one video. This should be removed! :)

  • playing in super slow mo allows for some amazing trickery! I wonder how much Real Time it took to produce this video.

  • Are you insinuating he was cheating?

  • Sounds like a nightmare.

  • Don't think it's possible to focus on all 4 vids, but it's possible (for me anyway) to pick out music and sounds from one at a time

  • How do you control four games with one controller? I want to know!

  • Emulators and a LOT of slowdown

  • No, I was not asking how this TAS was made, that is how all of them are made. I was asking what you have to do to put one controller into multiple games.

  • I'd assume you'd just open up 4 emulators with different ROMs and use the same controller setup for all 4 of them.

  • nah dude, if you do that only the emulator that is currently in focus gets the input. you need a program like they use to dualbox mmorpgs to send the input to multiple applications at once

  • You're making it FAR too complicated. The four emulators are actually just fed the same input program. That's all. He made one file of the input and fed it through the 4 games.

  • it's the same software and conception behind dualboxing. you get a program that echos input to multiple windows, sending each keystrokes to each application you have open

  • I don't really understand this... I mean, it's supposedly the same input, but they're all doing different things. There's a point where one will go into a menu screen, so therefore wouldn't the rest also be brought into the menu?

Pretty intense all the same, but I just don't see the whole "1 input" part. What am I missing?

  • Its hard to follow, but he's using moments where one screen loses control such as screen transitions, hit stun, cutscenes etc. to more get them out of sync slightly so he can do some of the finer things.

look at 0:55 when upper-left goes into the menu - everyone else is either stunned or in a cutscene at the time, so no one else goes into the menu.

i have no idea how he coordinated this.

  • I see, it is played like a colossal logic puzzle game.
