  • oh my my my this is fine!!!!

  • This song was written by the scottish songwriter ewan macoll. He wrote it for paggy seeger

He was brought up in salford near manchester in england and also wrote 'dirty old own' and several magnificent folk songs of the working classes. Try searchng 'my old man' on youtube

  • Aside from the Chi-lites having a distinctive style and sound, I always dug the fact that many of their songs were more than three minutes long...like this one, some even going into the seven and eight minute mark like "Coldest days of my life" and countless others....

God bless them for bringing us this melodic music which brings a peace into our hearts...

songs and groups like this is the medicine that keep me alive.......Thankyou

  • This group had it all. Looks, beautiful voices and the smooth dance moves. Miss the 70's artists so much.

  • If you like soul, then you'll love The Stylistics.............FAB. They are pure 70s.

  • @theonearmedbandit1 Add The Temprees,Ebony,Delphonics,Ojays,Harald Melvin and the Bluenotes,Bloodstone,The Moments(Ray,Goodman and Brown, etc. Those were the good old days of the best slow cuts ever!

  • does any one have the lyrics for this song??

ive been looking but i cant find them!!!

im trying to sing this song to my girl, plz help me out!!

  • Roberta Flack's lyrics

The first time ever I saw your face

I thought the sun rose in your eyes

And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave

To the dark and the empty skies, my love,

To the dark and the empty skies.

  • The first time ever I kissed your mouth And felt your heart beat close to mine Like the trembling heart of a captive bird That was there at my command, my love That was there at my command. And the first time ever I lay with you I felt your heart so close to mine And I knew our joy would fill the earth And last till the end of time my love It would last till the end of time my love The first time ever I saw your face, your face, your face, your face
  • "This music is what makes us women feel sexual, loved and appreciated. The men who sang these songs to women, for women and about women are the ones who forever touched our hearts.

  • sometimes you hear something and it touches your very soul

  • Wow, this is so 70s...but in the most beautiful way! :-) Just so damn smooth and relaxing, love the sweet harmonies.

  • nvr knew they sang ties song!

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............

  • I love my oldies. They will never died as long that tkeitt43 is alive.Keeps me thinking about some of the great moments of my past...

  • Why do these songs make me cry all the time? I love the Chi-Lites and i agree with you as well where did top of the line r&b soul music like this go?? Now we have meaningless songs from Chris brown to Ne-Yo just recycled garbage.

  • Beautiful. Eugene Records' voice brings back so many memories of the 70's. Where did music go?

  • Hear this song and the first mental picture that appears, she's the one you had ever truly love.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • Excellent I've never heard this version before...thanx for posting.
