WoW sure as hell sucks monkey fuck. I played that piece of shit for about 2 years hoping that one day WC4 will come along...but honestly it seems that there won't be anything left to make a RTS out of, unless it's a prequel.
The improved balancing may be why Starcraft sold more copies, at 11 million. Compared to the 2 or 3 million for Warcraft 2 and 4.5 million for Warcraft 3.
Perhaps it was unbalanced in the favor of Orcs. But I think the map editor allow some changes in costs and hit points so that it would become more balanced.
I don't think it's an issue of balance so much as a matter of slightly easier to use vs. slightly harder to use. Orc spells are easier to use where as Human spells take a bit of skill and cunning, which is why I am more partial to Humans. Mages, hands down, own the board if you know how to use them effectively.
I should also note, Jspeterson, in Warcraft 2, there is no difference in stats between Orc units and Human units save for certain upgrade costs. The only major thing that separates the two races is their spells.
i played this game back on kali on starlink server then after it shutdown the war2 server these guys i see here are really really bad i havent played in close to 10 years and i can see this. maybe ill start again.
