When Chrysler was working on the new Charger the first proposal which made the show circuit looked alot like the old one, with the classic coke bottle shape. But they cheaped out and went with the 300 platform, which sells, but if people saw the other one they'll know it was much better.

Google 1999 Dodge Charger concept and you'll see a stunning 4 door car----and actually, it doesn't look like there's any reason why that sheetmetal design couldn't have made it to production. where did the info come from, that this was banned? This was on for MONTHS! I was so sick of this commercial, that I would leave the room each time it came on. Back then, a commercial would be on for approximately 2-4 months, and then it would stop. Life cereal, Oscar Mayer, and a Karate ad were on for much longer. Ciggarette ads were banned, but I don't recall car ads being banned.

This was filmed at the beach known as Children's Pool, La Jolla, CA. These days Children's Pool is a hangout for seals who seem to have more rights than humans do.
