Cara, cara Rosanna, come ci manchi! Il giorno che sei volata in cielo c'era tanta neve, spero che nel tuo cielo ci sia sempre tanto sole, quanto ne hai dato a noi.
I often sing this beautifully crafted tune with such meaningful lyrics when I'm alone. It took on a new and very special appeal as I watched and listened with a tear or two blurring my vision. Diane's version has a special resonance for me.
Did you know that ACASHFAN1 was threatening to ban me, delete and block any of my further comments and prevent me from viewing anymore of her videos for defending your O'dell referral? I was told to "move along" OE ELSE!
I did see that. I'm sorry about that. I noticed she deletes messages that make comments she doesn't like. Oh well, I personally don't want to see any of her videos. But, I do want to thank you for defending me. I meant no disrespect to Johnny Cash. Thanks again!
I thought the name of it was called "Here Comes the Sun". But since you told me that, I will do some research and dig more into it. Anyways, thanks for your help..
CORRECT! It's a famous or maybe not so famous (since few recognized it) Beatle's song. One of my personal favourites.
To paraphrase " Don't worry about my past loves they will always be with me in some form or another but my love for you, now, is greater..... "I LOVE YOU MORE"
What! She died?! I thought this was a joke until I did a bit more research. May this courageous woman RIP. Things happen for a reason and maybe it was her time to go, although so very tragic..May her legacy live on.
I saw this video a couple of months ago. when I heard of her passing I was saddened. I too have polio and on a ventilator 24/7, but was in an iron lung at 9 months old.
Amazing lady! So confined by her disability, her spirit soared in her life... she is the living proof that we confine ourselves! Thanks for allowing us to listen to her!
You do not have to blow someone else's candle out for your light to shine. I will pray that you find Jesus before your life ends on this earth. God Blesss You and God Bless America!!! Thank you Lord Jesus for giving the world Diane Odell to inspire the best in anyone who heard her story and her testimony.
I am from Dianne's hometown, Jackson, TN,and though I did not know her personally, she had a profound impact on my life. She was a vital part of our community and she deeply touched the lives of those she met. I rejoice that today she is Dancing, Running, and Singing with the other Angels in Heaven! May God Bless her precious Parents, her Sisters and their families as they mourn the loss of the Brightest of all of Jackson's Stars!!
Thank you, Dianne, for the strength you gave to me all my life in my own problems from polio..for helping me to know that I"m ok, " AS IS !". What a blessing you have been to me and to our entire family. I will never forget you, your laughter and simplicity, that honesty and gracefulness. It's been an Honor.
They had a backup generator, but it also failed...only the second time in all these years. Her parents are in frail health and in their 80's. BUT, her father hand cranked a generator, gave her CPR and did all he could to save her!
yeah. Although very tragic, her parents did everything they could, they didn't go on vacations, every waking moment was devoted to their daughter and then with her dad having alzheimers and her mom having problems, maybe it was the lord's way of letting her go..So tragic, but things happen for a reason. She lived a good life.
truly an amazing human being. may she now achieve the freedom she was denied on earth. can't believe her story...it is so pitiable and so inspiring. a testament to her iron-will.
Bawled my eyes out - Never knew about her and her challenged life in this world! Makes me more grateful for every breath I take! May she rest in peace ..
Everytime I listen to Tom Price and Diane on this video, I cry. Today, I know that Diane is finally free and is dancing on the streets of heaven. We have all been blessed over the years by this amazing angel among us. She will be missed!
Dear Diane, now you can dance, run, and shine with Blinky in the heavens. You have made me a more compassionate person. I thank God for bringing you here to teach us love and patience.
As a young girl in Tennessee, I remember a very little girl that was in an iron lung that lived next door to my cousin in Nashville. Being that young, there is no way to realize what she was enduring; watching all the other children running thru the house and playing. I wish I could go back and talk to her. I just hope I did take the time to talk to her.
please, could somebody write me her mail or something how can i contact her? i really want to write her a mail or so, but i can't find anything. thank you very much.
I spent a number of years sleeping in this particular iron lung at night. This is something you get used to because you have no choice but to. I know how difficult it must have been to sing though.
she is a courageous woman, but i realize by thinking of her, i realize i got a good life.. i mean i would rather die than live life like that, no offense. i think of all the hardships i have had in life and realize my life is not bad at all, to go outside and watch the birds, to drive a car, getting dressed, things we take for granted; We have been blessed
I miss one of my best friends, Dianne Odell!
She was more like my angel.
I'm looking forward to a happy reunion in Heaven with her and others who have gone on before me.
I learned so much about the love of GOD and how to love others and how to keep faith in GOD through hard times with my friend Dianne Odell.
Phil. 4:13. I miss you my best friend. From: Cindy Clark, Brighton, TN.
