race aside, using ignorance to defend anger about stuff that never happened to you, your parents, or theirs is pathetic. americans should know the civil war. you know that june 1865 is when the war ended, right? the proclamation didnt mean anything in the south until the north won. and in any case, we all have slavery in our history. try learning the history of europe as a whole, of asia, of africa. theres really nothing to bitch about today in this sense, man..
@TheChristisgreat What I am doing with this computer is trying to reveal truth, promote justice, and help the person who needs help get the most constructive help that they need. The truth is the "Black" people are not a Race and never will be a Race. The only Race is the "White" Race. "Non-white" people have been duped, hoodwinked, bamboozled, into seeing themselves as Races of people. Such deception has us racing in a race that we cannot when. It's time to try something else.
I'm irish and we were basically enslaved by the english since the 1300's for over 800 years. We were also treated WORSE than black people when we first arrived in america. But we managed to put our differences behind, actually get on and make something of ourselves up to this day. Ireland before the economic crash, had one of the highest life qualities in the World and Europe and a well off society. But you don't hear us blaming the english for our problems. Blacks need to shut up and move on.
The world would be a better place if black tribal people hadn't invented slavery and sold slaves to white people. But it would also be a better place if black people would stop being so embarrassing to our one species by just bitchin all the time/
In your video, you quoted the other guy, then said that the Emancipation Proclamation is not a well known fact. If you show me a person who isn't aware of the EP, I'll show you someone who didn't pay attention in history class.
@SynQ : I’m finding a lot of material on Bartolomé de las Casas, could you kindly designate the specific area you would like to share on the topic? (To narrow the search down of course) Also express the process of discouragement being carried out in schools. (I’m Pacific Islander) I’d like to see if I can identify any similarities’ to the way things were going when I was back in school. If you’d please.
@RRoocckkyy50 Yes, Bartolomé de las Casas is the Catholic priest who promoted the idea that the so-called Indian slaves, be replaced by the so-called African slaves, because in his opinion, the "African" slaves, were more immune to disease, could perform labor for longer periods, and were higher in population, than the "Indian" slaves. In the area of Education "non-white" children are encouraged to believe that learning is "acting white"(whatever that is.).
@SynQ Yes, I have done some reading on it. Only a small portion was related to the U.S.. The rest was concerning Central & South America to the Caribbean. This was extracted from the web. It does pose a negate element to your claim: "26] In this early work, Las Casas advocated importing Black slaves from Africa to relieve the suffering Indians, a stance he later retracted, becoming also an advocate for the Africans in the colonies.[27][28][29] [cn 2]." I'll check my college library ffor better.
@SynQ Yes, but only a small portion did relate to the U.S.. The rest was concerning Central & South America to the Caribbean. This was extracted from the web. However, tt does pose a negate element to your claim: "26] In this early work, Las Casas advocated importing Black slaves from Africa to relieve the suffering Indians, a stance he later retracted, becoming also an advocate for the Africans in the colonies.[27][28][29] [cn 2]." I will check my college library for an accurate account.
@RRoocckkyy50 I am only pointing out how De Las Casas was the catalyst for importing huge numbers of "African" slaves on a massive scale and bringing them to the "Western Hemisphere". Someone on here said that the "Portuguese" and "Spanish" did not enslave "Africans" because they were "Africans", that same person also said that they did not refer to the "Africans" as "Negros". The De Las Casas situation refutes such statements. There were slaves in the "U.S." before it became the "U.S.".
With all due respect, if a black person doesn't realize that the Emancipation Proclamation free slaves in 1863, it's their own fault for not paying attention in history class.
@hornfan0195 If you are talking to me, then it's your own fault for not paying attention to the video. The Emancipation Proclamation is mentioned in this video. Did slaves instantly go free as soon as this document was made? or did it take the continuance of a catastrophic event (also taught in history class) to get people to honor it? When were the last slaves actually freed (not taught in your history class, but it's a fact)?
Thank you. I didn't expect a reponse that quickly. To let you know, I learn as I go, I do & will do research on on the spoken subjects. I did pull up a few references to the Transatlantic slave trade (to more accurateley triangulate a convergance of info.) You were correct in key areas as far as the whites involvements. I'm just pointing out that involvement, of the slave dealers,Spanish, & Portguese who are not actually white. At the time, I believe it was more business saddly than racism.
@RRoocckkyy50 No problem, I tried to respond as soon as possible. From my observations Racism (White Supremacy) is a business. I have met "Spanish" and "Portuguese" people who said they were "White", and I have also learned that I am confused about who is and who is not a "White" person (I made a video about it). In your research check out Bartolomé de las Casas. He proposed the idea that the Spanish and Portuguese replace "Indian" slaves with "Negro" slaves.
Slavery was in different parts of the world. Black african's (even lighter skinned arab mixes) were slaves in & by africans (black alike) before africans (black as well as others) were Slaves In The U.S.A. What variation of racism is it when you were slaves (as there still are in Africa) by your own race? Do you have one for that? (curious)
@RRoocckkyy50 Any form of slavery, no matter whom is doing the enslaving, is mistreatment. No one should be mistreated for any reason any where in this universe. The difference is that the subject of this video is not slavery itself, but specifically the "Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade" which involved "non-white" people being enslaved on the basis of color. No kind of mistreatment, can be eliminated without first eliminating the most powerful mistreatment that ever existed-RACISM (WHITE SUPREMACY).
@RRoocckkyy50 I have learned that the only people who are qualified to fit the description of what a "Race" is, are the Racists (White Supremacists). There are three types of people in the known universe:
@SynQ good work on the video. Couple questions, Who and where were the 'white' people in the 15th, 16th, 17th and first half of the 18th century? And where and who were the 'black' people during these times?
As far as slavery ending on June 19th, slavery has not officially/actually ended. Look up Christian Black Codes or Black Codes (United States). also please check it out,
@Taz4True Many "White" people say that there were no "White" people in the 15th, 16th, 17th and first half of the 18th century, but the people who enslaved the "savages", "pagans", "heathens", "natives", etc ( aka "black" people) were the "English", the "French", the "Spanish", the "Dutch", and the "Portuguese". "Black" came from the "Portuguese / Spanish" translation of "Negro", which is what they called their slaves.I suspect that it was actually used before they called themselves "White".
@SynQ Most tribes were not savage or heathen, ie. They did and still DO believe in one great creator, altho I assume your are referring to terms that others tended to use. Actually the terms moreno and morisco were the terms used by Spanish speaking peoples and still are. As well as mauri and moor. Just because 'negro' MEANS black in spanish doesn't mean people were using it to describe other humans back then. I havent seen an old text using the term, if you have I would like to see it. Peace
@Taz4True Yes, I was referring to the terms that were used to describe "non-white" people to justify their being mistreated. I do not know where you are coming from on the use of the word "negro", but it is basic knowledge in the subject of the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade. Grab any English dictionary from anytime before 1950 (just to be sure), look up the word "negro" and it will tell you where it came from. How many "old text" have you search for the use of the word in?
@SynQ I understand quite well where the word came from, however I reassert my stance; the word 'negro' was NOT used to describe a group of PEOPLE, it was used like 'purple' or 'blue', merely colors. I do not agree with it's use to describe people nor do I think that it was NEVER used to describe us. However this particular, degrading usage does not go back commonly beyond around the 1700's, the Spanish language (and other latin tongues) do. Peace
@Taz4True Okay, no problem. I will not try to convince you as long as you are not trying to convince me. You believe what you believe and I'll believe what I believe. Thank you for your comments.
Great, a bunch of historical dates. It was in 1833 that slavery was abolished in America. It's over. I think that instead of getting worked up about the slavery that stopped happening over 150 years ago, maybe, if you really are against slavery, try doing something about the slavery that does still happen in the world today. There's a hell of a lot of it going on, so get worked up about that instead, you can actually do something about that slavery.
@goondropapill "It was in 1833 that slavery was abolished in America." Why were there "black" people in "America" still enslaved after 1833? Where does the 1865 date regarding slavery in "America" come from?
I love how people seem to alway neglect to mention that the Irish were slaves close to the same time that Africans were being enslaved and are still fighting for our freedom yet we don't have marches, we don't have an entire month devoted to our history ( the closes thing we have is a day that people associate with drinking), we don't get reparations from the people that enslaved us. really I don't see what makes black slavery so damn special.
@skinnyman1423 You don't see why it's so special. Well, let me try to explain. You see, slavery robbed African Americans of their history. Whereas you can probably trace your ancestry to a specific place in Ireland, many African Americans have no idea where their ancestors originated from, and have no clue how to find out. We are a people without a solid history, so when we march, when we protest, we are forging our own identity. Btw. What's to stop the Irish from marching?
@diamondson319 What stops the Irish from marching is the fact that they can leave their history where it belongs... in the past. They know that marching doesn't change the past, so instead they do productive things to make an impact on the future, you know, the thing that actually can be changed. They don't feel as if anybody owes them anything, least of all people without any actual involvement, i.e. everybody.
@goondropapill Also, no one's trying to change the past. In fact, I said just the opposite. And how exactly does marching, i.e. nonviolent protest, not change anything? What about Gandhi's salt march, which resulted in the closings of numerous British shops and mills?
@goondropapill You can't be talking about all "Irish" leaving their history in the past and not taking action against the results of that past. The I.R.A. did a helluva lot more than march, though some "Irish" have actually marched.
@skinnyman1423 There was a time during the period of slavery when the "Irish" and the "African" slaves fought together in an attempt to free themselves. But, the Racists (White Supremacists) gave the "Irish" something far better than reparations, and a month to celebrate their history. The "Irish" got to be classified as "White", in a system of Racism (White Supremacy). I have observed plenty of "Irish" people, thinking, speaking, and acting (some even marching) on the "Irish" cause. hint: IRA
@SynQ I`ll try ! I know slavery was bad and no way do i agree with any of it! BUT lots of ppl still to this day play the victim and still go on about how whites treated black people , its years ago and it no way affected the black people of today! Its about time we all got over it and focused on the future not the past!
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf From my observations, "Portugal" was the FIRST in what is known as the "Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade" to enslave people based on skin color.
@SynQ they stopped slavery of other Christia pretty early
they "stopped" slavery of Indigenous people of America in 1537. if they converted to Christianity.
it was about religion England stopped Slavery of other Christians like in 1100. most of Europe got rid of slavery(of Christians) before 1495... they thought slavery of Pagans was okay. I dint read anything about Muslims though
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf I am not sure why you are making such a statement here. This video is not about that. But, since you mentioned it, not everyone stopped enslaving the indigenous people of "America" at that time. Are you saying that "black" slaves in the USA were freed upon converting to Christianity?
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf No. I did not say that. This video only speaks of the enslavement of people classified as "non-white", during the period commonly referred to as the trans-Atlantic slave trade. None of the countries that were involved in slave trading during this period stopped trading "non-white" slaves, 400 years before this period.
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf ...think you...I hate this quasi militant nut jobs who use facts and lies to perpetuate historical facts.Lies and Facts both from misinformed blacks and whites. Slavery was no different in Africa versus the rest of the world. Africans sold slavery as if they were less than a rat! I'm a black male and I know that Africansa don't respect us to this day!
@mointelllove Can the truth be a lie, just because one says it is a lie? Can what you think is a lie, later turn out to be true? Could you believe the truth, to be a lie, if someone you trusted told you that truth was a lie, before you found out it actually was the truth? Why am I "quasi militant nut job"? All of my sources for the information that I present were "white" people, are they "quasi militant nut jobs" as well?
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf "Portugal" introduced "African slaves" because they did not have enough of their own people to produce the labor necessary to acquire the resources (sugar, cotton, etc) that they had determined "Portugal" needed to survive. It was decided by the "Portuguese" government that there was an abundance of "Africans" that could fulfill the need for massive labor. "Africa" did not have a government that governed the whole continent. Each "tribe" enslaved their prisoners of war.
This brother.....is going to spend his entire life HATING white people, and CRYING about a time in which he wasnt alive and a slavery he never experianced....what a sad life.
@jumpyjedi lets not deceive anyone here. This video does not mention anything that would lead anyone who follows logic, that I "hate", people classified as "white".
This video was a response to a "white" person who was CRYING, about "Black" people talking about the mistreatment of their ancestors by Racists (White Supremacists). What truly is sad is that we are still in a world the promotes deception and violence, over truth and peace.
@jumpyjedi Actually, I spent a total of two years out of my 42.5 years of breathing air, hating "white" people and even then, it was only certain individuals who had mistreated me and / or other "non-white" people, on the basis of skin color. I realized that "hating" them served no constructive purpose. I've never hated "White" people collectively. Does the "White" person, telling "Black" people to get over slavery hate "black" people?
Officialy announced on Galveston Island in Texas June 19th,1865 the last holdouts of slavery . union soldiers had to come down and force Texas to free slaves 2 years after Emancipation. Good work!!
man... ill admit i have a fractionate knowledge of what went on with all the slave trade etc.etc. But, like, what part of yyour grandad bieng sold hurts you sooo much?
And why is it that mainly races other than hispanic feel the need to connect, feel, and re-live what could be called thier heritage... so what, your ancestors got slaved, Go tell evryone how much pain people other than you used to be in... I still cannot understand why you just cant... get over it...
Actually, you had slaves in Mississippi until the 20th century in the so called USA. Mississippi, had slaves up until 1915 or possibly longer. Do a search on youtube to find it.
don't take me to be a racist cause i'm not but was'nt it a white man who free'd the slaves? yet most black people in america don't like whit people and if you think about it white people were vitimized just as much as black people back then in the 1800's comming to america mainly irish and the dutch i have cousin's in america that were beat up by black people over slave bullshit none of my family lived there till 1996 and most people were oposed of it why do you think they had a war over it?
They had a war over it, NOT because it was incorrect to enslave other people, but, because for economic reasons. Slavery was no longer a benefit to the U.S. Economy, in fact it was starting to destroy it. Abraham Lincoln beleived that "black" people were inferior to "white" people.
@SynQ So did Ghandi, so did WEB DuBois, so did Jefferson, so did the Iriquois federation and every other Indian tribe, so did the mexicans, so did the asian rail workers, it seems that, without fail, everybody comes to the same conclusion. Interesting.
10 months passed so u prob know this already but i will just put this out there.
a white man freed them because more and more whites kept coming up dead they could no longer control and manipulate africans by fear and they kept screaming for freedom so given the choice of continually living in fear of your slaves or setting them free what would u do? set them free exactly.
i was not directing my message at you but since you do not know then i will tell you.
the proof is all through history their have been so many movies on it.
do you really think whites would have let the slaves go if they were as obedient as dogs? no. they would not have, the longer slavery continued the more slave master ended up dead killed by their own slaves the # increased as time continued. ask any historian and they will verify if u dont wnt to rd a book.
@Darkmessenger1000 Can you point out one historian or one book that supports your opinion? I've read many books on slavery and have a love for history in general. I know about a few attempted slave rebellions, and have read many speeches on from the "abolitionist" movement of that era, and have not seen any evidence of your claim. This is not a challenge. It is an inquiry.
@SynQ I have read many books on slavery but here are the most recent ones......"Capitalism and Slavery" by Eric Williams, "The Political Economy of Slavery" by Eugene D. Genovese, "Inhuman Bondage" by David Brion Davis, "The Peculiar Institution" by Kenneth M. Stampp.
im gonna rewrite history to make every great inventor a negro!! black man so ineligent.
"wheres ma reperations?" IZ po' n DUMB
gimme my welfar check! I cant pull myself up out of poverty cuz im an ignorant monkey. ok me so sorry mr blackman, we gives ya yer welfare in the form of reperations. oh you still mad? then bitch on youtube.
Please stop talking. I don't see Jews still banging on about the war. Black people NOW, don't need to know about whatever June you're talking about, why would you want to keep repeatedly bringing up the pain of something that you weren't even alive to experience? Why bring it up? For anything else apart from the massive chip on your shoulder. Be thankful it's not still like that.
The reason Jews still aren't complaining is because theu've been awarded Israel as their own nation in which they are able to live in, a land where many of the elite government officials and wicked politicians practice ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and racism!! Its a disgrace and a fact. While black ppl are gnerally treated alright here, theres a difference in power relations dummy....
well when slavery started out, anyone was up for grabs, blacks whites portugese, didn't matter, everyone was used. the thing that made actually made blacks so prominent was the lack of unity in africa that led to the black societies on africas borders who traded with the west to go in and capture slaves themselves, whites almost never entered africas interior at all until 1830's when the international shipping of slaves had been illegalized the world over (of course slavery wa still legal)
Why is it we hear nothing from you about how some countries in Africa have been practicing slavery for hundreds of years and still are to this day? Yeah, they enslave their own people and as we all know, they are the one's who originally sold their own people as slaves. You see, Whites and blacks embrace different 'value systems', so why complain about the buyers when you should be taking issue with the sellers?
Arabs had african slaves prior to portugal entry to the slave trade, and europeans ones to for that matter. though racism is primarily a creation of the bible its inability to square its creation myth with the real world thats why we have "races" theories like the Curse of Ham and the mark of cain blame jesus.
Resonse to the NoLies video-You can't out a time table on grief or pain. You can't give a timeline as to when people should get over something. Maybe white people should get over it too. We are still very racist to this day? Is that because we still have the idea that blacks are no better than slaves? By the way, it's abhorent, not abherent. From a W.A.S.P-Don't waste your time arguing with him
WTF is caucasian? Can you clearly define in biological or genetic terms what is a race? No you can't. Races are social constructs. There is more genetic diversity in Africa than anywhere in the world meaning that some Africans are more closly related to some Europeans than they are to other Africans. Stop being black and start being human.
hahhaha znut62 is right...but everyone has the right to their own opinions...l1m1tz is a waste of elements and atoms that could be used to make better things, like, cow dung??? maybe???
Nigga please....Portugese are olive skinned non-white mediterainian mulatos. Where do you get off saying they estalblished white supremecy? Stop being an angry black man and be thankful.
...wow...ive noticed that you didnt post any other comment about this video what so ever. i just wanted to say that it is ignorant red necks like yourself that bring down our society...cheers
I can see that blacks have been treated badly in the US and all, but why doesnt any1 ever talk about us australians? idont get it. we were also brought to a new country by the british as slave labor, we were also treated like shit. but we never talk about it. the only reason i can think of is because we are white
Cuz you guys never try to do anything reperations-wise and now you're treated fine, whereas there is still a moderate to large amount of racism towards blacks in America.
I know where portugal is and as I said they enslaved black people. They are the first to enslave them and the are the ones that called them "los negros" which is what they used to separate themselves as "white".
yes and did u know that portugals conlony in the americas Brazil transported over 4 times as many africans to be slaves than the US did and they didnt ban it until the 1920's, and that was only because the British govt pressured them to do so.
please dont confuse my not wanting to deal with bullshit with white supremacy. i hate irresponsible whites too. its not the skin color that i hate, its the lack of accountibility and blaming others for faliures endured while making no effort.people who try will suceed , people who dont will blame others.
Since, I started this vlog. people have assumed that I have no job, I am living in poverty, I am uneducated, and that I blame "white" people for my failures.
If you look at ALL of my vids, I hardly give any personal info out to you. And yet the assumption is that I have to have "no job, am living in poverty, and that I blame "white" people for my failures." in order for me to be talking against Racism. WTF?
It's like YOU believe that the only things that make black people happy is wealth and "success". What if I am a black person whose "successful"? and still I want to address the issues that I address? All of the people who make such statements are showing characteristics of racists. Just look at the comments on my all of my vids.
I've "succeeded" and I still suffer from racism. My having a "nice" home, a business, a car, and anything else that makes me appear to be successful, does not change the fact that I am a victim of racism.
please dont blame white people for all the problems that blacks have today. at some point, blacks have to put all this gangsta shit, and keepin it real aside and take some responsibilty for their actions . also, why are there so many sucessful black people in america if the white people are making things so difficult , what makes them so special? hard work and responsibility.
Unless YOU consider ALL "white" people racist, You shouldn't be telling me not to "blame white people for all the problems that blacks have today." because I don't blame "white" people, I blame the Racists, that is all. Again, where are you coming from wiht this "successful" stuff. I haven't mentioned in any of my videos, not one thing about Blacks not being "successful".
i agree, slavery should be forgotten, but it shouldnt be used as a crutch either. alot of people want to use bondage as a qualifier for their current troubles, its gotten out of hand. Blacks need to focus on their internal problems like colorism, black on black hate, and interethnic strife
Well, I've met plenty of people from Portugal, and they classified themselves as "white" and were classified as "white" by other "white" people. Portugal did import a lot of slaves back to Portugal, so just like everywhere else, I'm sure there are both "white" and non-white people there.
I dissagree on one point. Most brothers and sisters know the difference between the Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments. My relatives are from Texas and can give you the entire history of "June Teenth". Stay Strong Brother, keep rocking the truth.
well out here in california, and other places I've been black people have never heard of the Emancipation Proclaimation and the do not know what juneteenth is. Now in Texas, they better know what it means becuase that where it started. Other know what Juneteenth represents, but, don't know that our ancestors were officially freed by the Emancipation Proclamation. I might do a vid. going out and asking people if they heard and / or know the meaning of them.
Please shoot and air the video brother. I can't wait to see it, although it might hurt my feelings to see it. Please discuss the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, they are so important. They legally freed enslaved Africans, made them citizens, and provided them the right to vote. Stay strong brother!
crap is bullshit, a slave is a slave Nolies oh I mean Yeslies. Your an insensitive shithead that probably think all black people are monkeys or something.
Thank you for revealing the truth about the emancipation proclamation. Why is it that whites ask blacks to get over slavery and call it victimhood but say nothing about the jewish holocost. Both of these events are major human rights violations and should be remembered, I will never forget my history, I am not a victim for remembering it; my people are strong for surviving it and we will never forget! They have no right to ask us to do so!
If the Emancipation Proclamation isn't common knowledge in the black community, who's fault is that? I know it's common knowledge among whites. If blacks would just listen to the teachings of the honorable Mr. T they might not be so ignorant. Be cool stay in school.
The Emancipation Proclamation was an Executive Order. It was not a law "passed" by Congress but a presidential order empowered, Lincoln knew, by his position as "Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy" under Article II, section 2 of the United States Constitution.
Why do the dates really matter that much? The point is that slavery is over and it really is time to get over it. There's no positive outcome from victimhood.
Is it racism or merely fact? There is no concentration of Blacks that isn't a crime center as well. New Orleans, Detroit, DC, etc... At what point will it just be recognized that the so-called racists were right? Do you think you can be intellectually honest and deny this?
Both of you need to pull your head out. If it isn't common knowledge what the Emancipation Proclamation is among Blacks whose fault is that???? NEITHER of you seem to understand that the Emancipation Proclamation only applied to the Confederate States (read it!) - a country the United States has no jurisdiction over! So it was not really a legitimate document.
Were black people slaves in any other parts of the US besides the south when the Emancipation Proclamation, was written? I agree that many white people do not recognize it as a legitimate document and still treat non-white people as slaves, because of it.
KKK came about to protect Whites. One need only look at EVERY CONCENTRATION OF BLACKS in the US and the associated crime rate to see that they were needed then and now. Look at OJ Simpson - Blacks on the jury were accomplices in the murder he committed and Blacks jumped for joy when he got away with it. They would be dancing around a fire in Africa if not for Whites.
The KKK was andd still is a domestic terrorist organization. non-white people have experienced terrorism since 1550, by nobody notices that huh? who protects the non-white people?
You obviously dont live anywhere near a gang dominated area. try living in south jersey. Oh I'm sorry I forgot you're black so rather than muggin or raping you while you walk out of the mall to your car they wait for a single white male/female. But even those facts are wrong since the police skew arrest and crime reports to make black people look like public enemy number one, right? jackass.
I stayed in Newark,N.J. for one year on Clinton Ave. I grew up in Richmond, Ca. and I was a member of the Nortenos(NorteSideLocos14), and no one in any gang will purpose go out and vicitmize white people, because they believe that it will attract to much attention. They will beat your ass if you talk shit. We did that to plenty of people white and non-white, but, most of the time caught hell for the white ones.
The KKK protected white people by destroying the businesses of the non-white competitors of white business owners. Lynching black landowners and putting fear into other black people who tried to depend on themselves instead of the white businesses.
i'm still not sure of the point. yes, slavery was bad. and in america, the basis for it was for racist reasons, but slavery hasnt been around since the 1400s; it's been around since the beginning of time.
we aren't talking about slavery in general, we are talking about the TRANS ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE, which was alot different than any other kind of slavery before it.Because it enslaved people on the basis of color.
i believe the TRANS ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE enslaved people on the basis of ability to produce financial gain.of course slave traders were racists, but reparations should not be paid. unless of course monies for public assistance, medicaid and costs of incarceration should be subtracted. also crime victim compensation should be subtracted . if all white people should take responsibility for what a few did, all black people should take responsibility for what a few did.
Slavery on the basis of color is Racism, which is the topic of discussion here. All slavery is unjust. But, why is it that when a black person starts to talk about the slavery of his ancestors and how it affects him today, that some people want to divert away from that and say "well all slavery is bad". How does saying that change what I am saying in this video?
I'm not sure what you being black has anything to do with what I said. As my comments are 11 months old, and I don't remember if I even saw the other guy's video, I guess I'll just drop out of the discussion.
you should of put that in there...this is the same man who gets up roar over the holohaux..I mean holocaust that lastest what 10-20 yeas..but we should get over 400 years of that same treament if not worst...these people are hypocrites..I mean there ancestors were..so what do you expect you know?
This has been flagged as spam show
race aside, using ignorance to defend anger about stuff that never happened to you, your parents, or theirs is pathetic. americans should know the civil war. you know that june 1865 is when the war ended, right? the proclamation didnt mean anything in the south until the north won. and in any case, we all have slavery in our history. try learning the history of europe as a whole, of asia, of africa. theres really nothing to bitch about today in this sense, man..

What are you doing with that computer? There's cotton to be picked, I don't wanna have to call the overseers today.
No one will ever respect black people as a race, because you are subhuman. Deal with it and take your 3/5s of an opinion elsewhere.
TheChristisgreat 4 months ago
@TheChristisgreat What I am doing with this computer is trying to reveal truth, promote justice, and help the person who needs help get the most constructive help that they need. The truth is the "Black" people are not a Race and never will be a Race. The only Race is the "White" Race. "Non-white" people have been duped, hoodwinked, bamboozled, into seeing themselves as Races of people. Such deception has us racing in a race that we cannot when. It's time to try something else.
SynQ 3 months ago
@TheChristisgreat Are you a White person?
SynQ 3 months ago
I'm irish and we were basically enslaved by the english since the 1300's for over 800 years. We were also treated WORSE than black people when we first arrived in america. But we managed to put our differences behind, actually get on and make something of ourselves up to this day. Ireland before the economic crash, had one of the highest life qualities in the World and Europe and a well off society. But you don't hear us blaming the english for our problems. Blacks need to shut up and move on.

@hornfan0195 Did you know that huge numbers of "non-white" people are being discouraged from learning anything constructive in school?
SynQ 11 months ago
@SynQ : I’m finding a lot of material on Bartolomé de las Casas, could you kindly designate the specific area you would like to share on the topic? (To narrow the search down of course) Also express the process of discouragement being carried out in schools. (I’m Pacific Islander) I’d like to see if I can identify any similarities’ to the way things were going when I was back in school. If you’d please.
RRoocckkyy50 11 months ago
@RRoocckkyy50 Yes, Bartolomé de las Casas is the Catholic priest who promoted the idea that the so-called Indian slaves, be replaced by the so-called African slaves, because in his opinion, the "African" slaves, were more immune to disease, could perform labor for longer periods, and were higher in population, than the "Indian" slaves. In the area of Education "non-white" children are encouraged to believe that learning is "acting white"(whatever that is.).
SynQ 11 months ago

I will check my college library for an accurate account.
RRoocckkyy50 11 months ago
@RRoocckkyy50 I am only pointing out how De Las Casas was the catalyst for importing huge numbers of "African" slaves on a massive scale and bringing them to the "Western Hemisphere". Someone on here said that the "Portuguese" and "Spanish" did not enslave "Africans" because they were "Africans", that same person also said that they did not refer to the "Africans" as "Negros". The De Las Casas situation refutes such statements. There were slaves in the "U.S." before it became the "U.S.".
SynQ 11 months ago
@hornfan0195 I see your point though.
SynQ 11 months ago
With all due respect, if a black person doesn't realize that the Emancipation Proclamation free slaves in 1863, it's their own fault for not paying attention in history class.
hornfan0195 11 months ago
@hornfan0195 If you are talking to me, then it's your own fault for not paying attention to the video. The Emancipation Proclamation is mentioned in this video. Did slaves instantly go free as soon as this document was made? or did it take the continuance of a catastrophic event (also taught in history class) to get people to honor it? When were the last slaves actually freed (not taught in your history class, but it's a fact)?
SynQ 11 months ago
RRoocckkyy50 1 year ago

(curious)
RRoocckkyy50 1 year ago

1) "White" people
2)"Non-white" people
3) Racists (White Supremacists)

@SynQ good work on the video. Couple questions, Who and where were the 'white' people in the 15th, 16th, 17th and first half of the 18th century? And where and who were the 'black' people during these times?
As far as slavery ending on June 19th, slavery has not officially/actually ended. Look up Christian Black Codes or Black Codes (United States). also please check it out,

Taz4True 1 year ago
@Taz4True Many "White" people say that there were no "White" people in the 15th, 16th, 17th and first half of the 18th century, but the people who enslaved the "savages", "pagans", "heathens", "natives", etc ( aka "black" people) were the "English", the "French", the "Spanish", the "Dutch", and the "Portuguese". "Black" came from the "Portuguese / Spanish" translation of "Negro", which is what they called their slaves.I suspect that it was actually used before they called themselves "White".
SynQ 1 year ago
@SynQ Most tribes were not savage or heathen, ie. They did and still DO believe in one great creator, altho I assume your are referring to terms that others tended to use. Actually the terms moreno and morisco were the terms used by Spanish speaking peoples and still are. As well as mauri and moor. Just because 'negro' MEANS black in spanish doesn't mean people were using it to describe other humans back then. I havent seen an old text using the term, if you have I would like to see it. Peace
Taz4True 1 year ago
@Taz4True Yes, I was referring to the terms that were used to describe "non-white" people to justify their being mistreated. I do not know where you are coming from on the use of the word "negro", but it is basic knowledge in the subject of the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade. Grab any English dictionary from anytime before 1950 (just to be sure), look up the word "negro" and it will tell you where it came from. How many "old text" have you search for the use of the word in?
SynQ 1 year ago

There's a hell of a lot of it going on, so get worked up about that instead, you can actually do something about that slavery.
goondropapill 1 year ago
@goondropapill "It was in 1833 that slavery was abolished in America." Why were there "black" people in "America" still enslaved after 1833? Where does the 1865 date regarding slavery in "America" come from?
SynQ 1 year ago
I love how people seem to alway neglect to mention that the Irish were slaves close to the same time that Africans were being enslaved and are still fighting for our freedom yet we don't have marches, we don't have an entire month devoted to our history ( the closes thing we have is a day that people associate with drinking), we don't get reparations from the people that enslaved us. really I don't see what makes black slavery so damn special.
skinnyman1423 1 year ago
@skinnyman1423 You don't see why it's so special. Well, let me try to explain. You see, slavery robbed African Americans of their history. Whereas you can probably trace your ancestry to a specific place in Ireland, many African Americans have no idea where their ancestors originated from, and have no clue how to find out. We are a people without a solid history, so when we march, when we protest, we are forging our own identity. Btw. What's to stop the Irish from marching?
diamondson319 1 year ago
@diamondson319 What stops the Irish from marching is the fact that they can leave their history where it belongs... in the past. They know that marching doesn't change the past, so instead they do productive things to make an impact on the future, you know, the thing that actually can be changed. They don't feel as if anybody owes them anything, least of all people without any actual involvement, i.e. everybody.
goondropapill 1 year ago
@goondropapill Productive things like what?
diamondson319 1 year ago
@goondropapill Also, no one's trying to change the past. In fact, I said just the opposite. And how exactly does marching, i.e. nonviolent protest, not change anything? What about Gandhi's salt march, which resulted in the closings of numerous British shops and mills?
diamondson319 1 year ago
@goondropapill You can't be talking about all "Irish" leaving their history in the past and not taking action against the results of that past. The I.R.A. did a helluva lot more than march, though some "Irish" have actually marched.
SynQ 11 months ago
@skinnyman1423 There was a time during the period of slavery when the "Irish" and the "African" slaves fought together in an attempt to free themselves. But, the Racists (White Supremacists) gave the "Irish" something far better than reparations, and a month to celebrate their history. The "Irish" got to be classified as "White", in a system of Racism (White Supremacy). I have observed plenty of "Irish" people, thinking, speaking, and acting (some even marching) on the "Irish" cause. hint: IRA

Muslims would enslave other non-Muslims.
sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf 1 year ago
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf I am not sure why you are making such a statement here. This video is not about that. But, since you mentioned it, not everyone stopped enslaving the indigenous people of "America" at that time. Are you saying that "black" slaves in the USA were freed upon converting to Christianity?
SynQ 1 year ago
@SynQ nope but dint you state they stopped slavery of other whites because they got blacks? because some countries stopped 400 years before
sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf 1 year ago
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf No. I did not say that. This video only speaks of the enslavement of people classified as "non-white", during the period commonly referred to as the trans-Atlantic slave trade. None of the countries that were involved in slave trading during this period stopped trading "non-white" slaves, 400 years before this period.

All of my sources for the information that I present were "white" people, are they "quasi militant nut jobs" as well?
SynQ 11 months ago
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf "Portugal" introduced "African slaves" because they did not have enough of their own people to produce the labor necessary to acquire the resources (sugar, cotton, etc) that they had determined "Portugal" needed to survive. It was decided by the "Portuguese" government that there was an abundance of "Africans" that could fulfill the need for massive labor. "Africa" did not have a government that governed the whole continent. Each "tribe" enslaved their prisoners of war.

SynQ 1 year ago
@jumpyjedi Actually, I spent a total of two years out of my 42.5 years of breathing air, hating "white" people and even then, it was only certain individuals who had mistreated me and / or other "non-white" people, on the basis of skin color. IrishClanKing 3 years ago
They had a war over it, NOT because it was incorrect to enslave other people, but, because for economic reasons. Slavery was no longer a benefit to the U.S. Economy, in fact it was starting to destroy it. Abraham Lincoln beleived that "black" people were inferior to "white" people.

well when slavery started out, anyone was up for grabs, blacks whites portugese, didn't matter, everyone was used. the thing that made actually made blacks so prominent was the lack of unity in africa that led to the black societies on africas borders who traded with the west to go in and capture slaves themselves, whites almost never entered africas interior at all until 1830's when the international shipping of slaves had been illegalized the world over (of course slavery wa still legal)
fatline99 4 years ago
SynQ,
Why is it we hear nothing from you about how some countries in Africa have been practicing slavery for hundreds of years and still are to this day? Yeah, they enslave their own people and as we all know, they are the one's who originally sold their own people as slaves. You see, Whites and blacks embrace different 'value systems', so why complain about the buyers when you should be taking issue with the sellers?
FoundingFather 4 years ago
Arabs had african slaves prior to portugal entry to the slave trade, and europeans ones to for that matter. though racism is primarily a creation of the bible its inability to square its creation myth with the real world thats why we have "races" theories like the Curse of Ham and the mark of cain blame jesus.

Resonse to the NoLies video-You can't out a time table on grief or pain. You can't give a timeline as to when people should get over something. Maybe white people should get over it too. please dont confuse my not wanting to deal with bullshit with white supremacy. i hate irresponsible whites too. its not the skin color that i hate, its the lack of accountibility and blaming others for faliures endured while making no effort.people who try will suceed , people who dont will blame others.

Since, I started this vlog. people have assumed that I have no job, I am living in poverty, I am uneducated, and that I blame "white" people for my failures.
SynQ 5 years ago
If you look at ALL of my vids, I hardly give any personal info out to you. And yet the assumption is that I have to have "no job, am living in poverty, and that I blame "white" people for my failures." in order for me to be talking against Racism. WTF?
SynQ 5 years ago
It's like YOU believe that the only things that make black people happy is wealth and "success". What if I am a black person whose "successful"? and still I want to address the issues that I address? All of the people who make such statements are showing characteristics of racists. Just look at the comments on my all of my vids.
SynQ 5 years ago
my bad. i meant to post this comment at the video basic methods and characteristics of racists.

I've "succeeded" and I still suffer from racism. My having a "nice" home, a business, a car, and anything else that makes me appear to be successful, does not change the fact that I am a victim of racism.
SynQ 5 years ago
please dont blame white people for all the problems that blacks have today. at some point, blacks have to put all this gangsta shit, and keepin it real aside and take some responsibilty for their actions . also, why are there so many sucessful black people in america if the white people are making things so difficult , what makes them so special? hard work and responsibility.
ncmoonshine 5 years ago
Unless YOU consider ALL "white" people racist, You shouldn't be telling me not to "blame white people for all the problems that blacks have today." because I don't blame "white" people, I blame the Racists, that is all. Again, where are you coming from wiht this "successful" stuff. I haven't mentioned in any of my videos, not one thing about Blacks not being "successful".

slavery should never be forgotten and people should be educated fully on the subject and those 300+ years of work should still be paid in full.
joelovesyou 5 years ago
i agree, slavery should be forgotten, but it shouldnt be used as a crutch either. alot of people want to use bondage as a qualifier for their current troubles, its gotten out of hand. Blacks need to focus on their internal problems like colorism, black on black hate, and interethnic strife
jadescorpio21 5 years ago
The United Indepenedent Compensatory Code offers solutions to these issues.
SynQ 5 years ago
uh duh. all these problems are products of slavery. do you somehow think that this mental insanity vanished in the first generation out of slavery?

I-find-it-hard-to-believe-that-the-Portugese-that-brought-slavery-to-North-America-were-white-supremist-mainly-because-people-in-Portugal-are-not-white.
tardoballsx 5 years ago
Well, I've met plenty of people from Portugal, and they classified themselves as "white" and were classified as "white" by other "white" people. Portugal did import a lot of slaves back to Portugal, so just like everywhere else, I'm sure there are both "white" and non-white people there.
SynQ 5 years ago
I dissagree on one point. Most brothers and sisters know the difference between the Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments. My relatives are from Texas and can give you the entire history of "June Teenth". Stay Strong Brother, keep rocking the truth.
rayburne 5 years ago
well out here in california, and other places I've been black people have never heard of the Emancipation Proclaimation and the do not know what juneteenth is. Now in Texas, they better know what it means becuase that where it started. Other know what Juneteenth represents, but, don't know that our ancestors were officially freed by the Emancipation Proclamation. I might do a vid. going out and asking people if they heard and / or know the meaning of them.
SynQ 5 years ago
Please shoot and air the video brother. I can't wait to see it, although it might hurt my feelings to see it. Please discuss the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, they are so important. They legally freed enslaved Africans, made them citizens, and provided them the right to vote. Stay strong brother!

The day Jews forget about the Holocaust is the day I'll forget about African Slavery.
Let's do the numbers
Jews: 6,000,000
Africans: 600,000,000
Do the math people We can't forget
MindPole2000 5 years ago
Thank you for revealing the truth about the emancipation proclamation. Why is it that whites ask blacks to get over slavery and call it victimhood but say nothing about the jewish holocost. Both of these events are major human rights violations and should be remembered, I will never forget my history, I am not a victim for remembering it; my people are strong for surviving it and we will never forget! They have no right to ask us to do so!
rayburne 5 years ago
If the Emancipation Proclamation isn't common knowledge in the black community, who's fault is that? I know it's common knowledge among whites. If blacks would just listen to the teachings of the honorable Mr. T they might not be so ignorant. Be cool stay in school.
slake88 5 years ago
"who's fault is that?" its the fault of the people who knew about it and taught you. Who taught you?

The Emancipation Proclamation was an Executive Order. It was not a law "passed" by Congress but a presidential order empowered, Lincoln knew, by his position as "Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy" under Article II, section 2 of the United States Constitution.

Why do the dates really matter that much? The point is that slavery is over and it really is time to get over it. There's no positive outcome from victimhood.

The dates matter because his username is "no lies" suggesting that he tells the truth. If he tells the truth then the facts should be correct, right?

even after the signing of the emancipation proclamation racisim and white superiority was rooted soo deep america that the status quo remained
AsianBlackHybrid 5 years ago
Is it racism or merely fact? There is no concentration of Blacks that isn't a crime center as well. New Orleans, Detroit, DC, etc... At what point will it just be recognized that the so-called racists were right? Do you think you can be intellectually honest and deny this?
ScottfromTexas 5 years ago
you are correct. That status quo, is what "the code" calls the system of "white" supremacy.
SynQ 5 years ago
Both of you need to pull your head out. If it isn't common knowledge what the Emancipation Proclamation is among Blacks whose fault is that???? NEITHER of you seem to understand that the Emancipation Proclamation only applied to the Confederate States (read it!) - a country the United States has no jurisdiction over! So it was not really a legitimate document.
ScottfromTexas 5 years ago
Were black people slaves in any other parts of the US besides the south when the Emancipation Proclamation, was written? I agree that many white people do not recognize it as a legitimate document and still treat non-white people as slaves, because of it.
SynQ 4 years ago
KKK came about to protect Whites. One need only look at EVERY CONCENTRATION OF BLACKS in the US and the associated crime rate to see that they were needed then and now. Look at OJ Simpson - Blacks on the jury were accomplices in the murder he committed and Blacks jumped for joy when he got away with it. They would be dancing around a fire in Africa if not for Whites.
ScottfromTexas 5 years ago
The KKK was andd still is a domestic terrorist organization. non-white people have experienced terrorism since 1550, by nobody notices that huh? who protects the non-white people?
SynQ 5 years ago
yes and black street gangs never terrorize anyone!!
ncmoonshine 5 years ago
"street gangs" terrorize other "street gangs".
SynQ 5 years ago
and only other gangs, right??
ncmoonshine 5 years ago
You obviously dont live anywhere near a gang dominated area. try living in south jersey. Oh I'm sorry I forgot you're black so rather than muggin or raping you while you walk out of the mall to your car they wait for a single white male/female. But even those facts are wrong since the police skew arrest and crime reports to make black people look like public enemy number one, right? jackass.
SweetSarin 4 years ago
I stayed in Newark,N.J. for one year on Clinton Ave. I grew up in Richmond, Ca. and I was a member of the Nortenos(NorteSideLocos14), and no one in any gang will purpose go out and vicitmize white people, because they believe that it will attract to much attention. They will beat your ass if you talk shit. We did that to plenty of people white and non-white, but, most of the time caught hell for the white ones.
SynQ 4 years ago
Don't blame Scott...he's from TEXAS.
m3kkR 5 years ago
The KKK protected white people by destroying the businesses of the non-white competitors of white business owners. Lynching black landowners and putting fear into other black people who tried to depend on themselves instead of the white businesses.
SynQ 4 years ago
i'm still not sure of the point. yes, slavery was bad. and in america, the basis for it was for racist reasons, but slavery hasnt been around since the 1400s; it's been around since the beginning of time.
richardtheconquerer 5 years ago
we aren't talking about slavery in general, we are talking about the TRANS ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE, which was alot different than any other kind of slavery before it.Because it enslaved people on the basis of color.
SynQ 5 years ago
i believe the TRANS ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE enslaved people on the basis of ability to produce financial gain.of course slave traders were racists, but reparations should not be paid. unless of course monies for public assistance, medicaid and costs of incarceration should be subtracted. also crime victim compensation should be subtracted . if all white people should take responsibility for what a few did, all black people should take responsibility for what a few did.
ncmoonshine 5 years ago
No one is asking "white" people to be responsible for reparations. This is more deception.
SynQ 5 years ago
Well if reparations are paid ever, i want Italy to pay England reparations for the 400+ years they enslaved Ancient Britons.
poppysworld 5 years ago
I don't see how slavery on the basis of color is any worse than slavery in general.
richardtheconquerer 5 years ago
Slavery on the basis of color is Racism, which is the topic of discussion here. All slavery is unjust. But, why is it that when a black person starts to talk about the slavery of his ancestors and how it affects him today, that some people want to divert away from that and say "well all slavery is bad". How does saying that change what I am saying in this video?
SynQ 4 years ago
I'm not sure what you being black has anything to do with what I said. As my comments are 11 months old, and I don't remember if I even saw the other guy's video, I guess I'll just drop out of the discussion.
