Thanks for the update.

I will add to the EURUSD that downside protection for EURUSD became very expensive on FR/Thu before US Debt Ceiling Debate (MO/Tue showdown). And the EUR Vix is/was at new highs.

Which I interpret as 'smart money bought insurance, want's to stay in the EURUSD trade long'. There is (1) interest rate differential and (2) the hope that we might see eventually a grand deal a European Finance ministry and Eurobonds as the Sovereign Debt Crisis can not be contained.
