interesting spelling there, sparky. or is this some obscure "nightmare on elm street" reference? "digesting freddy krueger(rand) by the pound?" i give up...
Yet another song from the late 70's that is meant to be played at least twice the maximum volume of whatever you're hearing it on. The whole Spectral Mornings album is golden.
John Shearer...only played on 2 Hackett albums but was his touring drummer for about 6 years. owns a drum shop in London England now. And he hit every piece in that set.
Gabriel and Hackett did not want to go "commercial". The rest of Genesis did. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway was the style Steve and Peter preferred and it showed in thier solo stuff.
His soloing was never really technical, but his tone and emotion in his soloing always chokes me up...amazing song.

Excellent! Hadn't realised that was how Steve got the tick tock sound! And check out the Mellotron close up at 1:20! Great sound!

at 2:15 he really seems to be enjoying himself!!!!!! I would pay anything to see Tony Banks do some of Steve's moves behind the keyboards!!

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is a epic album.
The only Genesis album that comes close is Selling Englund

I agree. Then Genesis would have been a great band after 1977 as well.
